As was I...we were born at the best time...we saw the changing of the world from post WWII echos to the modern "computer " age...remember dial tones? or all the cool toys we had as kids? Green Machine, Big Wheels, Micronaughts GI JOE KUNG FU GRIP ?🤔🤔🤔

much respects to RSC, NYC Breakers & Magnificent Force. This footage is amazing! To see how they promoted the movie Beat Street using the "REAL STARS" of the movies dancing live is awesome! This is why I love You Tube, I get to see footage that I was never able to watch as a kid.... Thanks much respects.

I remember watching NY breakers on tv back in early 80s and I instantly fell in love with breakdance and poppin. These guys were pioneers and we all tried hard to emulate them.

thats the same thing i see people say about the 50's, 60s, 70's and 90's as well . LMAO So there AINT NO BEST DECADE. i think every decade was GREAT and FUN in its own way equally. And who ever experienced that particular decade as a Teenager or a Young ADULT in their 20's had the upmost FUN in that particular decade.

History lesson: 'Rock Steady' was a form of Jamaican music which came after Ska and before Reggae, 1967 to 1969. Cool Herc and Heavy D came from Jamaica and settled in New York, USA. They were two of the founders of Hip Hop. Biggie Smalls, The Notorious BIG had Jamaican parents.
@MegaJohny565 жыл бұрын
so heavy d and coolherc formed hip hop? isn't that a rather one dimensional look at things? not to mention its inaccuracy as there were more involved in the formation of the genre than 2 sons of jamaica, lets be more inclusive and truthful when we discuss history please

How lucky were we born in this era? From Disco,to breakin,to Michael Jackson,Prince,Madonna,..To Masters of the Universe to malls,cable tv/MTV being born. The movie Star Wars,Indiana Jones,Rocky,Ternimator,Goonies,ET..TO Tv shows like Dukes of Hazzard Knight Rider ATeam..The birth of the video game craze/arcades/consoles..BMX Freestyle/RAD.. and the lists go on and on and on and on..THIS is why NOTHING today entertains me or impresses me..I mean,can you blame us for being biased towards our decade? lol

@thebodybeatdownDiTi2 жыл бұрын
it evolved into being not as good if you ask me. add on top of that most people dancing today look lazy and not as together as crews were then. Many had matching outfits and took pride in themselves a bit more. Looked like a real crew a team.

the 80's truely was a wonderful,magical time....such a shame that greed & crack cocaine ruined it for many & affected hiphop in such a negative way....on a positive note though....it also made alot of people who they are & what they do today....be it dancers,graffiti artists,rappers etc & its influence went global & spread to all countrys.....hiphop ya don't stop....
