It is the easiest! And I love that you NEED to make this one in advance and have it in the fridge for 8 hours......makes it easy to make for guests!

Looks pretty easy to make

This breakfast casserole really is the easiest recipe to make. I particularly like it because it is a good one to make if you have guests because you make it in advance and it has to sit in the fridge for 8 hours...and then just bake it in the morning!

Never had croutons in a breakfast casserole. Do they stay crunchy?

The croutons do not stay crunchy in that breakfast casserole. I have seen people make this meal with french bread......this recipe was just super easy as in open that packet and dump it in!

I so want to make a breakfast casserole. Is this one of the recipes in your cookbook?
@noexcuses_beliefinmyself26 күн бұрын
It is not in the cookbook. This is just one that I have had in my head for a while. I never make it with the recipe...and just adjust and adapt . but it's a stick of butter, melted, a cup or two of store bought croutons....cover that with a cup of cheddar cheese...then mix together 5 eggs, throw in a splash of milk and about a tsp of dry mustard and pout that over the cheese. Refridgerate it for about 8 hours. Then bake it at 350 for 30 minutes. It is adaptable. I've made it with a lot less butter. I"ve made it with more eggs, less cheese, etc! I have also added in bacon /ham/sausage in with the eggs on occaision!
