The news of Brandon's passing was so surreal to me that it just became real with this interview. I watched Rickey's kids grow up on TV, and it feels like I lost someone I knew. The story is sad, yet I'm so inspired by the father and man Rickey is. He is so much more than Comic View and crank calls... So much more than I ever expected, and it's beautiful. Brandon knew God and knew he was loved, and that is all that matters in this life. 💙🙏🏽🦋

Seasonal depression when you lost a loved one is knowing what the person you lost would be doing in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. Tuscaloosa here (about 45 minutes from Birmingham)! I feel like my hometown hero made it to the big city! 🤣 I grew up listening to Rickey on 95.7 Jamz and all his characters for prank calls and skits. I still play his Bufford Roll Tide on game days. 🤣 I grieved heavily with him over the loss of his son like I lost a family member. I've never watched an interview and been able to relate more than this time. I met Chris at a karaoke event in Birmingham, got a picture with him. We laugh with him, not at him.
