Jess made this interview difficult to listen to saying “hmm” and “yeah” every few seconds when Malcom was talking and not having anything interesting to say at all. @streamdream431611 ай бұрын
THIS. You can tell she's way out of her comfort zone. These are "grown folks conversations" and Jess is still a bit green on certain topics. She can give you a young, street take, but when it comes to serious issues -- I do not want to hear her opinion! I'm surprised they let her up here for this. Maybe it's for training, but lowkey, I think they just want her to go viral for saying something crazy, as always. She needs to reevaluate how badly she wants this gig because they might be trying to play her. But if she agreed to come up there and make herself look a lil (you know)....she really played herself.

Gun control laws that would make a difference: 1) Ban concealable weapons, including handguns; this would be constitutional as the 2A is about citizen defense of THE STATE, and handguns are not required nor commonly used for this purpose 2) Raise age to possess or purchase a gun or ammo to 25yo--there are lots of age limits related to rights, so this would also be constitutional

Why are Canadians not as "gun obsessed" as Americans? The fact that they didn't fight for their independence, nor have to fight to keep their country from splitting apart probably has something to do with it. The republicans consistently vote against mental health initiatives in America while also voting against gun control. You can only both sides this conversation if you are ignorant to current american politics. The truth is that our entire country is ran by lobbyist and money. Any action to help americans has to be filtered and accepted by corporations and lobbyist first, the people last.

Why only focus on gun violence? Why not focus on violence? As guns have become more prevalent and available, violence has decreased immensely. This is indisputable. What’s the best tool for a pregnant mom to defend her family with? Well, that happens to be an AR15. As far as why gun owners fight against licensing for guns or similar requirements - this stems from the actual reason for the second amendment. Tyranny comes and goes, since the beginning of time, and whatever powers you give the government over the people - bad leaders/groups in the future will have those powers. Imagine that a racist gets elected in the future, and wants to target a certain group of people - well, knowing each and every person who has firearms would make it hard for the people to resist the tyrannical government. Firearms have enabled the smaller individuals, minority groups, etc to defend themselves against those that would oppress them.

A rifle caliber is more effective in stopping someone with a handgun caliber. The reason why handguns are used far more often than long guns isn't due to people getting shot more than once. It's illegal to carry guns on the subway but how many times has every city with a subway in America or anywhere that bans guns had a shooting? So are people minding their own business supposed to concede to being a victim because others are uncomfortable about something they dont know about? Not how Rights work. Buffalo, NY has more crime than Jacksonville, FL if you're comparing apples to apples, not just cherry picking a place you found terrible. None of this is about competence it's about maintaining every born citizens right to bear arms and rightfully preserve your life. We are obligaterd to have access to firearms, the government SHOULD invest in free training and education, but that starts messing with their revenue. Canada has the population of California this guy doesn't get it, but feels embolden to write a book on something he extremely limited in? Guns have been in this country since it became a country what has changed are the people and how much the government invest in its people. If the gun control advocates start using their efforts to addressing how to fix the culture, gun control won't be necessary
