Jess made this interview difficult to listen to saying “hmm” and “yeah” every few seconds when Malcom was talking and not having anything interesting to say at all. She needs more training on how to conduct interviews. Hosting a morning show is more than just talking to your cohosts like it’s a podcast.

I'm not going to lie...this was the HARDEST 29 minutes interview to listen to with Jess saying "hmm", "wow" & "yeah" EVERY 3 SECONDS drove me up the wall. She's funny & does a GREAT job with her segment "Jess fix my mess". But Jess IS A MESS with interviews so far. She needs more training!
@streamdream4316
@streamdream4316 11 ай бұрын
THIS. You can tell she's way out of her comfort zone. These are "grown folks conversations" and Jess is still a bit green on certain topics. She can give you a young, street take, but when it comes to serious issues -- I do not want to hear her opinion! I'm surprised they let her up here for this. Maybe it's for training, but lowkey, I think they just want her to go viral for saying something crazy, as always. She needs to reevaluate how badly she wants this gig because they might be trying to play her. But if she agreed to come up there and make herself look a lil (you know)....she really played herself.

With all due respect, Malcom knows nothing about gun culture and if you dont have the knowledge you need to stop speaking on it. Its not difficult to handle a gun safely and the gun culture NEVER says that. We say you need be aware, nothing about it is hard. His definition of an "assault rifle" Is completely inaccurate and outright wrong. The problem with gun control activists like him is that they actually know nothing about what they want to ban

Gun control laws that would make a difference: 1) Ban concealable weapons, including handguns; this would be constitutional as the 2A is about citizen defense of THE STATE, and handguns are not required nor commonly used for this purpose 2) Raise age to possess or purchase a gun or ammo to 25yo--there are lots of age limits related to rights, so this would also be constitutional

Why are Canadians not as "gun obsessed" as Americans? The fact that they didn't fight for their independence, nor have to fight to keep their country from splitting apart probably has something to do with it. Americans understand that their country wouldn't exist if the people were disarmed, the same isn't true for Canada.

I appreciate Michael Gladwell but I do not believe he has an understanding of america's political landscape. The republicans consistently vote against mental health initiatives in America while also voting against gun control. You can only both sides this conversation if you are ignorant to current american politics. The truth is that our entire country is ran by lobbyist and money. Any action to help americans has to be filtered and accepted by corporations and lobbyist first, the people last.

Why only focus on gun violence? Why not focus on violence? As guns have become more prevalent and available, violence has decreased immensely. This is indisputable. What’s the best tool for a pregnant mom to defend her family with? Well, that happens to be an AR15. As far as why gun owners fight against licensing for guns or similar requirements - this stems from the actual reason for the second amendment. Tyranny comes and goes, since the beginning of time, and whatever powers you give the government over the people - bad leaders/groups in the future will have those powers. Imagine that a racist gets elected in the future, and wants to target a certain group of people - well, knowing each and every person who has firearms would make it hard for the people to resist the tyrannical government. Firearms have enabled the smaller individuals, minority groups, etc to defend themselves against those that would oppress them.

A rifle caliber is more effective in stopping someone with a handgun caliber. The reason why handguns are used far more often than long guns isn't due to people getting shot more than once. The problem comes because handguns are far more portable and accessible to those willing to use such items in crime.

I agree Jess is great. I really enjoy her, but in moments like this is shows why she isnt right for the job. She provides no substance in serious topics. I hope they let Lauren come back-- she is a well rounded guest host.

I am not familiar with this guy however I see he’s intelligent all while being intellectually dishonest. 8 million subway riding New Yorkers will automatically become homicidal maniacs for legally possessing a firearm yet he fired one for the first time and NYers can’t even own them yet he felt a rush and is back to his normal law-biding self.

It's illegal to carry guns on the subway but how many times has every city with a subway in America or anywhere that bans guns had a shooting? So are people minding their own business supposed to concede to being a victim because others are uncomfortable about something they dont know about? Not how Rights work. Buffalo, NY has more crime than Jacksonville, FL if you're comparing apples to apples, not just cherry picking a place you found terrible. None of this is about competence it's about maintaining every born citizens right to bear arms and rightfully preserve your life. We are obligaterd to have access to firearms, the government SHOULD invest in free training and education, but that starts messing with their revenue. Canada has the population of California this guy doesn't get it, but feels embolden to write a book on something he extremely limited in? Guns have been in this country since it became a country what has changed are the people and how much the government invest in its people. If the gun control advocates start using their efforts to addressing how to fix the culture, gun control won't be necessary

has anyone actually gone shooting with police officers? they're often terrible marksmen and horrible with gun safety. Armed citizens who carry actually have access to the same if not better training and they're often better with gun safety.
