If Charlemagne is so hell bent on getting the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act passed, he needs to reach out to Sen. Tim Scott(the Senator from his home state) and put pressure on him because he is the one who dropped the ball. As Senator, Kamala Harris was one of the original authors of the bill. I'm 33, so I grew up on comedians like DL Hughley, Martin, Uncle Bernie, Cedric, Steve, Dave Chappelle, etc... But DL has become more informative and educating than just simply being funny... He's already a King of Comedy, so now he's willing to drop more gems 💎 💎💎 and game than just "jokes"... I love his Daily Show placing, with everything going on in Memphis and for him to get THAT opportunity to talk, genius move AND if THAT spot is open, Comedy Central BETTER give him every request he's asking for because he'll bring that show back to prominence like when Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert was hosting, but with a more important, intriguing, and ofc, informative view along with the jokes and laughs. I’ll talk to DL anytime. I’m the same way he is. It’s not just depressing, it’s informative. It’s important that we make ourselves aware of not just what’s going on, but are we critically thinking about it. If we are, then we care, we want change and we plan to help make things better or right. And we deserve to be the ones talking about this. That’s what’s powerful here. These are black men talking about humanity. Something ppl try to make us believe we know nothing about but also what ppl are trying to destroy in us, our humanity. I love to enjoy life but serious shit matters to me too.
