This is a good recipe. I would recommend adding a 1/2 tsp. of salt instead of a 1/4. That's it. 😄 So yummy.

Yes, honey is a great substitute for maple syrup but I'd recommend using quite a bit less than the amount maple syrup.

Yes, plain yogurt is a good substitute for buttermilk (I'd add a little bit of milk to thin out, especially for Greek yogurt)

Yes! You can use milk with about 2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice.

Did you mean salted butter instead of unsalted butter? If you use salted butter, they will turn out a bit too salty.
