Really? This panel didn't recognize that the reporter, in her question, wrongly framed the question to attribute calling it terrorism to PP himself, which he did not say. She framed the question in an accusatory fashion. She didn't say Sid what you just claimed she said. She accused Pierre of having called it a terrorist attack himself. She omitted the part where he said that media was reporting a terror related attack. CTV had put out a written report at 1:09 on their website that did suggest that government officials were operating under the assumption that it could be a terrorist attack and that wasn't put to rest until 9:40 pm that night by the FBI and after 5 pm by the provincial police. All the bridges were closed and police presence was increased at possible terrorist attack targets. That about sums up the situation that was being treated like a terrorist attack until they could confirm otherwise. I think Pierre definitely deserves a pass on this one but as per usual the mainstream media takes every opportunity possible to try to make the future PM of Canada discredited. Why don't you spend your time on important things like the new state religion of climatism or the most recent scandal of the Liberal government around the green slush fund rather than gossip rag worthy news.

Personally, I find it refreshing that Pierre holds everyone accountable, including reporters. I have no problem with Pierre's tone. I have a problem with Trudeau and how he claims to be a supporter of women's rifhts and then kicks female members out of thd caucus when they raise issues with his behaviour. Trudeau claims to be for Canadians but his policies and decisions say otherwise. Enough of the woke, virtue signalling, designer sock wearing Prime Minister. My concern with what Sid said is that he worries about how Pierre will deal with world leaders. Let's remember Trudeau got caught making fun of Trump for being late for a meeting with him, and Trudeau was doing this in front of Macron, Boris Johnson, and other world leaders. This is the same PM who has made waves with the Italian PM and had issues with Australia - so know the whole picture and not just jumping on the band wagon is what I would hope of my media representatives. Further, to suggest the media isn't biased is a dishonesty.

Let’s not forget that the previous administration that was Harper shut down media question period and not to mention cut all services and was one of the few Canada PM that was not invited to the White House and was really disregarded by EU. PP if you really look into his credentials he is a professional politician unlike the current PM who actually had a life prior to entering politics. Take away the partisanship and names and just look at the credits that Trudeau had done vs the previous PM and PP people might want to deny it all but it’s there. There is much negative reports about the PM there isnt a lot to recap on achievements. The most important part of that exchange was omitted for this segment. The part where Poilievre pointed out that his statement regarding the incident including the words, "media reports". And the reporter has the nerve to try to get with him a gotcha moment saying that he was the one that jumped to conclusions. This is false Sid. CTV did indeed report it as being treated as a terror attack prior to Pierre's remarks. They made the correction afterwards. It simply wasn't reported in their video coverage, but there's evidence they reported it that way on their website. Either way, the real issue is Pierre being accused in bad faith of labelling it as terrorism himself, when in reality he didn't.

Not a big fan of the hosts comments today on this question. Breakfast Television you have permanently lost my support / viewership. Thought much more of Sid until I heard his comment “I’m a voter from the GTA and we matter.” Pretty disturbing actually to think that he feels his vote matters more than others from non - GTA political ridings and constituencies across Canada. Regardless of people’s politics, I was definitely hoping to see more of a two sided conversation among the hosts at the very least. Maybe put some thought into this before you just let four hosts all say the same thing. Maybe have a guest with a different opinion. Still a lopsided debate but at least it isn’t just four different versions of the same opinion.
