I think its more than finding the centre of the cue ball on the strike. Unless the cue is passing through the centre of the white as you push the cue through, you will still apply side and the white wont return to the tip of your cue. It took me a while to correct the unwanted right hand side I was applying but my game improved massively when I made this correction. Its usually the first thing I check at the start of a practice session because the feeling needed tends to changes day by day.

I am now retired and living in Bacolod Philippines. When young I played a lot of pool and played well, but not a champion. About 5 years ago I decided to start playing again. I lost a lot of my vision in my dominant right eye which made me give up pool until about a year ago. I decided to see if I could make the necessary adjustments to change over to the left eye. After a lot of trial and error and searching on-line for help I came across your videos. Your videos on alignment have been the key for me to start playing maybe even better than when I was Young. From Md USA I will say that having played many years and studying my own stroke and aiming techniques that it requires some changes for some shot situations. Your shot fundamentals has to be dissected to it's finest amount. I've changed my belief that your forearm should be at 90 degrees because that only singles out one part of the body. It gives the forearm a location but what about your shoulder, head and upper arm? It's your complete body that needs a correct position from beginning to end. Even the tendons in your grip hand to the locking point where your stroke can not move forward. All these I've recently had to rediscover as I return from years off the table. Working on my eye sight is next mainly dominant eye theory and positive contact aim. My game has come up greatly so I'm moving into a more confident mindset game after game.

Great content! Now realised that I've pretty much never been hitting the cue ball straight whenever I've played (which is rarely) Would be very interested if you could do a video about more unconventional Cue actions EG. Judd Trump, who I noticed always aims off the centre then readjusts AND Alex Higgins. Was there anything about their cue actions that was deliberate and gave them a technical advantage or was it just the most comfortable way for them to play?

@@TheSnookerShed I have recorded myself from a few different angles and the lovely Break from life (no idea what's your name mate) analysed it on facebook and gave me a few tips. Basically I am correcting my stance, at times I stand in a way I am 100% definitely sure I will pot, no matter if I follow through or stun or screw back. But it's a new stance for me so I'm adjusting myself. Also I have to bend my bridge hand a bit more. Also I noticed my bridge placement wasn't inline with the center of the cue ball. As you can see that's quite a few modifications so I have to groove them in. I'm the 'zdebel' mentioned in the video (first pin), I think that's a hint to my person as I've been asking quite a few questions about this issue.

Hello guys, I wanted to ask you for advice. I have been playin in my youth for 3 years and took a 8 years break, starting to play again in March 2019. I’m really struggling cause of inconsistency. There are days, where I can make low breaks ( 20 - 40 ) consistently and on others I can’t even produce 4 balls in a row. My Problem is that I can’t make out the difference that’s causing the problem. Is it just a mental thing or a lack of training? FYI I’m training on my own in the local club 4 to 6 days a week and I’m practicing 1 -2 hours before starting to play against others. I would be glad getting some advice. Greetings from Germany

Hi, maybe nobody noticed but just asking. Why do you twist your cue in your hand. You can see clearly in the shots at 9.22 that the vains from the cue are on top and when playing the shot they twist to the right. This must shurely also effect the cuebal motion?
