I’m convinced the 49ers should extend Purdy. The only question: “How much is he worth?” I’ve been arguing for a max-cap hit by percent per player but good luck with that. Dak is way overpaid and I’ve been writing for two years that Jerry Jones should let Dak ride off into the sunset. But I think with Purdy a 50-mil-per deal is fair, based upon many factors. If I’m Lynch I try to shoot for that and appeal to Brock that he’s the starter, and appeal to Brock it gives wiggle room for other players. Might work. Maybe not. Maybe Brock is - God forbid - a Viking next year. Ouch. We will see how Darnold fares in the playoffs because I think Sam must win at least one playoff game.
