I just discovered this series recently and have binged the entire thing. Amazing stuff, keep it up! And I can actually contribute and don't see anyone else who has answered your question... At 8:13 they're showing a rheostat which is indeed common for AC power, but would also work for DC power. The box does show "Line 250 VOLT 50-60 CYCLES" which would indicate AC power, with the 50-60 cycles indicating hertz and meaning it would work in both the US and internationally. SO while this certainly was designed with AC in mind, it can still be used in a DC circuit like the one they made here.

a couple of things I just realised that might be worth mentioning in future episodes: 1. of all people in breaking bad, Joe and Gretchen were both relatively significant side characters in friends, not sure if there’s any others who were in it but it’s a cool connection I realised. 2. In an episode later this season Kuby tells Walt that all Badger and Skinny Pete talked about was “something called Babylon 5”, which Bryan Cranston starred in. 3. along that same line, for when you get on to better call saul, Jimmy recreates Matlocks suit and also places his ads during murder she wrote reruns, both of which Bryan Cranston also starred in. I have to assume those links are done intentionally but even if not, I’d find it entertaining that he’s been in the profession so long that they can’t even avoid referencing him because he’s been in everything 😅

There are SO many great moments in this episode, the best definitely being the planning and execution of the magnet heist. I love seeing Jesse coming into his own as a leader and planner; once again he and Walt are working together well, with Jesse supplying the ideas and Walt the scientific know-how. Both Walt and Mike have lines that are among their best. I can't blame Walt when he asks Saul, "did you just use the word 'ethically' in a sentence?" or Mike for questioning whether any ending of the magnet heist could possibly end up with Miller Time. On a more harrowing note, I agree that this episode is the height of Walt's arrogance and hubris. When we see Walt intimidating Saul, it's quite a thought to remember that not so long ago, it was *Saul* scaring Walt when the lawyer unexpectedly showed up in the teacher's classroom and started selling his services! The magnet execution is quite a dramatic moment, with the evidence flying off the shelves and across the floor. I've always assumed that the tricycle riding itself along the floor was a reference to the famous baby carriage on the Odessa steps in the Eisenstein movie "Battleship Potemkin." I would also assume that it shares the same theme of innocents suffering for the deeds of the guilty. (Sadly, there's a lot of that in Breaking Bad: the kid on the plane with the teddy bear, Brock getting poisoned, Drew Sharp, et al.) My only big nitpick is, why didn't Mike spraying the bug juice on the surveillance camera immediately draw a response? Don't the cops watch these? Isn't that the whole point of having them?

Although he didn't directly kill Tuco, Walt picked up a behavior of his. He tells Saul "we're done when I say we're done" similar to how Tuco tells him "You're done" at the junkyard in "Seven Thirty Seven"

I have an idea for what you could do for the 'say my name' shout outs. What I was thinking is if you could make an ai version of Declan and Walter and Waltuh first says, "The 6 month members, say their names." Then Declan says, "Shelly Saves the Day, Burb's, hypertane" etc, you get the idea. Also yeah if you wanna use this make sure you credit my comment or something...
