I like that you’re paying close attention to things like lighting and color. It was probably my second time through the series that I started to really take that stuff in, and the experience of watching the show becomes all the richer for it. Somewhere on the internet (probably just a Google search away) is a color chart for each of the main characters’ wardrobes, which includes a timeline, and notation of significant events. You can actually watch each of them get darker over time, or switch back to lighter based on relative morality. Even Marie has a few notable changes in her otherwise uniformly purple wardrobe. NOTE: the chart runs through season 5, so it’s safe to look at spoiler-wise before you start Season 6.

23:36 Fun Science Stuff: HF (hydrofluoric acid) is actually not a very strong acid - its K value is middle to moderately strong. Hydrochloric acid (HCl,) for example, is much better at dissolving bodies than HF. Found that out the hard way.
@jrepka015 ай бұрын
Don't want to know what the "hard way" to find that out is. HF is quite good at destroying bone structure as it is a calcium magnet, but you would be better off going with a strong base to get rid of organic tissue. I think the primary reason they use HF in the show is so that they can do the dissolving tub scene in S1E2. My only question back then was, "What is a high school chem lab doing with gallons and gallons of HF on hand?"

I think Gus was also kind of trying to show Walter and Jesse without using any words that this is what happens to someone you work with who messes up hinting to Walter that if Walter would have just killed Jesse or gotten rid of him in some way that this would not have happened but because Walt can't do that to his partner a lot of other things happened because Jesse happen to know no the girl who was related to the brother who got taken into the game and since he cares about kids he had a big problem with that and also it was his friend who got killed so he was the one who took it personally Walt could have let that one go because he didn't really know the guy so I think that was also part of the message showing how easy it is to kill one of his own and that Walter should have just done that because remember he kept saying he wanted to get rid of Jesse and that Jesse was just a junkie and that he couldn't be trusted and in some ways he can't be trusted to always make the right decisions but he can be trusted to be loyal to Waltand that's what Walter was talking about when he told us that and Gus now realizes that because he knows that Jesse was the one who took care of Gail to save Walter's life

if you haven't i'd definitely recommend watching the episode commentaries - make sure you've finished the whole season tho bc they'll sometimes include spoilers from later episodes. this one was really cool, and had some fun details, like: Mike pulling his gun was Jonathan Banks' choice, and Vince Gilligan (who wasn't on set) didn't think it would work until he saw it and loved it. Also Mike helping lift the barrel was real, Bryan and Aaron couldn't lift it themselves, which makes it funnier that Mike immediately turns and walks away. Also Skyler's whole thing, Gilligan said her scene at the end was kind of a contrast to when Walt went missing during his "fugue state" and she was calling every hospital and morgue in the area; now that she knows what Walt is really doing she's created some distance by necessity. Giancarlo also said he was super excited to have a scene with almost no lines - everyone was continually impressed with his physicality, and there's a later episode with a situation that Vince apparently wrote bc he had an image of Gus doing a specific action, so the episode was kind of built around that. Love fun facts

Walt was in no position to make any demands whatsoever especially after putting himself and Jesse in this situation after making him shoot Gale. If I were there right next to him, I would’ve told him to close his goddamn mouth. Knowing enough about Mike, it’s hard to make anything surprise him. He was clearly taken aback by Walt and Jesse knowing how to “clean the scene”. Jesse actually learned from last time something like this happened in the first season. He used the correct kind of barrel this time around.
@TheRepublican7775 ай бұрын
Yes I think killing Victor was a message but mostly because Mike told Gus that he had been seen and could be identified so the message was if you mess up this is what happens but he needs them right now like Jesse says the message is if I can't kill you you're sure going to wish you were dead
