Actually think about it tho: it's a lot more difficult for Walter to get the chemicals; Walter could be a former famous scientist in socialist Berlin so he'd be both resentful of the lost of power and everyone around him would be resentful of the power he used to have; guns would barely be involved; the criminal factions would include Slavs and Balkans that are civil war vets, African Muslims, the Turkish, English and Italian mob. I don't need necessarily Breaking Bad in Berlim, but I do need a good crime show in this setting, it is brimming with potential.

@@ConnectDots. Lmao. Figures. Well the general air of chaos - bc LA more is car dependent and an urban sprawl, you can sort of segment the seedier parts of society better. As I grew up in West LA, I went most of my life in a decent, clean area, with societal problems like homelessness or drugs not being as widespread. Whereas in Berlin, that doesn't happen. As it is more dense and public transport reliant, you see EVERYTHING in relatively shorter distances - ie the fetish club scene, illicit drug dealing, sex workers, etc. The ease of buying alcohol also contributes, as you don't really need id and there is no cutoff time, so that's another set of chaos right there. I personally love urban, gritty areas so I find it fascinating. But there's no way I'd be able to grow up in that.
