I make a yayo colony about once a year, then give up on Rimworld for a month when I get two mechanoid events within 3 days alongside a nearly unbeatable raid every day to every 5th day. I just don't have the willpower left after work to build a colony I know will be torn apart by random torturous attacks and events.

Wdym tried and failed? Drugs and alpaca fur is the basis of any prosperous colony, I even get a thought sometimes that the game is actually a drug lord simulator, think about it: 1) you make shitton of money on drugs 2) get occasional raids from competitors who want to steal your drugs, employees and burn your lab 3) you can take your competitors prisoners and dispose of them in the most inhumane ways possible 4) you can call to your recurring buyers to let them know you have a new stack of this sweet powder they seek 5) your dog can become addicted to drugs 6) your employees are forced to become an alcoholic or smoke weed to be happy in this outrageously awful work environment as an escape from all the depression they face every day 7) you prefer your employees not to have “interest in the product” so they won’t use it uncontrollably 8) sometimes your employees can randomly get in a violent fight when breaking balls went too far Sounds like it

Do manual ranking for jobs and assign a work schedule that includes work, free time, and recreation. I do about 8 hours of work, 4 hours of free time, and 4 hours recreation the rest sleep.
