He preaches the truth and not try to manipulate people into believing man-made principles! I always felt that when preachers say to sow a seed to get blessings from God they are presenting a self-serving narrative that has absolutely nothing to do with God. God is going to bless who He wishes to bless regardless! That goes for the just as well as the unjust! Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you the word so that it can be properly understood. This way, it leaves no room for wrong interpretations.

During the latter portion of the sermon, that is a very selective and inaccurate portrayal of 1st Corinthians 14... Paul is talking about the preference of the gift of prophecy above the gift of my tongues in order that the church be edified as opposed to the one who edifies only himself by speaking in tongues .... This is not to tear down the gift of tongues, however it is to illustrate and the illuminate the true meaning of 1st Corinthians 14 where Paul is talking about a greater gift that edifies the whole church and says that we should desire eagerly the greater gifts which he States the gift of prophecy is... And Paul clearly defines the gift of love as the greatest of all and says that tongues without interpretation is just like a resounding gong which only edifies the one who speaks it without any illustration or prophecy to edify those who hear.... That gift of tongues maybe apropos for the private prayer closet practice of the believer or no, but I believe somewhere the Lord promised me that if there are any gifts that I desire that he would not hold them back so I think it is wise that the believer not get bent out of shape about whether or not they can speak in tongues or not, the greater gift will always be loved and it needs to be a lot more teaching on that with regard to the church and society as a whole... Especially since way too many Christians have publicly improperly practiced tongues without interpretation AS IF IT WERE SPIRITUAL BLING....
