I was in the service live when this message was preached…and today I’m looking at it again, because I need prayer…the amazing thing is that this message was over a year ago to around the same time of this month in 2024 and what he’s preaching this month is right in line with message as PD is preaching about Spiritual TEMPERAMENT. I’m so grateful for this message because I needed to go back to the class room and resharpen my prayer….I pray that anyone that sees my comment will be blessed and I stand with them in prayers that align with God’s will. This definitely was not the message that I thought it was going to be. I totally picked this sermon randomly and I am so glad I did! I think I just received my freedom papers because I have struggled so long in prayer, in even just creating a space in my life for prayer. Not realizing that I have to figure out what works best for how I am wired to pray. When you said “He hears what you write” I broke down in tears because that is the thing that I do well. I am a writer. I cannot even begin to describe how this has encouraged me. I will never look at the story of the lame man the same again!!! I literally transcribed this sermon because ALL of the points resonated with me and where I feel that I am this season of my life. Just to clarify a common misunderstanding, Psalms 37:4 actually tells us that God puts the desires IN our hearts. It’s the tricky part of some translations that read “God will give you the desires of your heart.” He doesn’t grant whatever it is we want; rather, He works within us to create a heart that has pure desires that are born out of his will for our lives. That’s the process of sanctification. He places the desires in that purified heart. Hope this clarification blesses you and/or others who read your comment.
