Kinda disagree. It had nothing to do with Hank letting Skyler keep Holly because she "needs to keep her baby." Hank, at this moment, had nothing on Walter and Skyler's meth and money laundering operation. He had no evidence, nothing that could be used in court to prosecute Walt. As such, if things escalated with the situation with Marie and Skyler over Holly, then the police would get called in and then CPS and Hank would be forced to admit his "suspicions", which Walter and Skyler would refute, and then Hank would get made to look like a fool. Considering what Walt comes up with later on with the video that he and Skyler gave to Hank, incriminating Hank as the supposed drug kingpin of the operation, its obvious that if Hank had supported Marie in taking Holly that things would have gotten way out of hand. That scenario that Walter brings up in the video might even have been made quicker and, even worse, given to the authorities who would have investigated once the situation escalated between Skyler and Marie. It sucks, but giving Holly back to Skyler kept things on a better keel and Hank can spend more time to gather evidence against his brother in law. So, in summation, it wasn't about "needing to keep her baby" but instead giving Hank time to investigate and then bring Walt to justice.

Honestly, I find it hard to blame Marie for trying to take Holly. It’s an illogical reaction, but considering what she just found out, it makes sense for her to try it. Yes, I agree with you on the point of Marie's actions being quite understandable. Moreover, the betrayal that she experiences in this scene must, in the heat of the moment, lead her to believe that Skyler is just as bad as Walt and the children aren't safe with her, either, nor are they being protected from Walt by Skyler in any way. But I do believe that Hank's motivation is slightly less calculated than what you are saying. I think he still believes her to be at her very core a good person and doesn't think him or Marie have the right to separate her from her own child. But true, he probably is also thinking of the consequences way more than Marie is in that moment.

I actually like Marie, and I think there's a very interesting parallel in this scene. In the earlier seasons, when Marie stole a present for Holly, Skyler desperately needed her sister but was continuously lied to. She even threatened ending their relationship if Marie didn't come clean and Marie apologizes. Now Marie is worried for her sister, constantly being fed lies, and desperately needs support while her husband goes through hell. Skyler hides the truth, knowingly putting the entire family in danger of death, not just one misunderstanding where Skyler was nearly arrested. Even after all this, in the final episode, Marie warns Skyler that Walter is in the state. Despite being estranged and widowed, she still shows vulnerability and care for her sister. While Skyler is keeping more secrets from Marie at the first possible chance.

Walt was being a (admittedly understandably emotional) moron in thinking he could convince someone, especially a cold-blooded thug like Jack, that they would be able to walk away from killing a DEA agent's partner in front of him and shooting that same agent while leaving him a witness. If somehow Jack took that bargain and let Hank walk away the very first thing that would happen would be Hank calling every resource he could to start a massive federal manhunt for Jack and his men, the same kind that drove Walt into hiding. Maybe Jack stays out of prison for a while the same as Walt did, but not all of his guys would (and might flip) and he would have had to commit to living the underground fugitive life for the rest of his days. Not an option. B. The truth of the matter is that if Hank's life was more important to Walt than his money he would have told the police everything when the Cousins shot him, if not earlier. Walt had a zillion chances over the show to throw away every penny he made and keep his family alive but every time he doubled down out of pride and resentment. While it's clear that before he's executed Hank regains a tiny amount of respect for Walt seeing him give his money up it was far too little and far too late.

Can't imagine how world breaking for Marie the ending was. Her Macho DEA husband killed by her meek brother in law, scared to hold a gun (at least that's what Marie thinks). All the security Hank had around him, their crusade to take Walt down ended up blowing up right in their faces. Marie had to sit on that for 6 months, feeling just as guilty as Skyler that she didn't step in & involve authorities.
