@@bensonskennel well, I invested in a set of dogtra pathfinder minis. And I'm seeing a lot of progress. Even just in general obedience training. Hardly have to use the shock either. I'm working on my part too, it's not always the dog that needs improvement. Thanks for the videos ,👍

I’ve got a 3 year old an a year old dog never had problem with deer running in this past Saturday they took off thought it was a smart coyote trained rabbit that was taking a longer run but it was a hot deer with this work with older dogs I assume an do you do this every year or once broke there broke

Once broke they normally are broke. However, you have to watch the ones that are semi-broke. I just never avoid deer. When I’m training or hunting, if I see a deer in the direction I’m going, I keep going in that direction. I use Garmin training collars to correct any beagle that run. I recommend doing some refresher training to remind them that deer running is not desired. I hope this help!

I have a two year old male he ran deer twice on me . I'm ready to get rid of the dog . I shocked him him like a 🤬 I got a call that night he was two and a half mile from the spot he go on the deer WT🤬

It normally take about 5-10 shocks for most beagles to be completely broke. I few of them quit after 2-3 shocks. It can be very frustrating, but once broke they can be a pleasure to hunt.

I won't shock them for it , my deer beagles jump a rabbit in they earlier hunting year only 1 . I didn't beat them or shock them I just left them on the truck overnight and woke up and went back to the same spot the next morning, but wat I figured out was it was a site race they didn't trail it up so it wasn't a bad habit

I'm working on the same problem, I was letting my beagle free roam and he got on one with a neighbor's dog, after that he hasn't really been the same, and the trust is not there. I'm working on what I do too. It's hard not to get emotions in it. But like this video shows zap them and get them siked back up for rabbit hunting immediately after the deer. Don't try to make them ashamed but just let them know bad stuff happens when they run deer, good stuff happens when they run rabbits. I'm guilty of getting pissed and probably over-reacting. But after trying this the other , dog jumped a deer , dog got zapped a couple good times, dog came back and we went on jumping and running rabbits.

@@hiddenhollowhomestead156 good comment! I’ve learned that most of the time, I needed training to better know how to train my dogs. Correct the bad habit and move on. Try to keep main focus on good things!

If I got one Dat run deer I put water on dem then put him on a deer if u do dat 2 time u don't got 2 worrie bout him after dat

What are you saying? I need to stop my dogs running leopards, pigs or snakes. The collar is essential - maybe not at full volume if not needed?
