One thing you did miss was that you can hear a baby crying in one of the women's toilets if you go up to the door, I think it is a toilet that is on the ground floor or one near one of the restaurants. Great video nonetheless.

As a low budget indie filmmaker the civilians just spawning or freezing into place makes total sense. It reminds me of actors staging and blocking with their own positions. Like they get into position as well and then when action is called they start running as well. With a mod like this it's like you get to have a behind the scenes POV and see how things were done as well.

18:50 I can definitely see that being an alternate path that they cut early-to-midway through development. Seeing cops outside firing at the player through the long window in the terminal would make for a cool scene. I image they moved it outside for more room and change up the feel so you wer're running around inside the airport for the entire mission

So basically it's easier for your system/game to already have something or someone loaded in prior to it appearing where needed. So the devs will have it loaded in, out of sight completely until they need them either in game or during a cutscene, then they instantly teleport to where the item or person is needed.

I have some experience with the WaW and BO3 modtools to know that there pretty much is a death barrier brush. But its called death_volume in WaW and might be the same for BO3

There's actually a cut cutscene in the very beginning of the mission during the black screen. Makarov grabs one of the dudes by the neck and throws him on the wall. The same animation can be found in the museum at the mission select screen where Makarov is on display at the airport

A- posin woman underneath the map is an actor spawner for the civilians that gets shot and run around in the map. Shouldn't there then be a spawner for each civilian? Well yes and no. Because all civilians in the airport use same actor logic there only has to be one spawner. If there would of been different "actors", then yes there would be another actor spawner for said "actor". The spawners model has nothing to do with with how the civilian actors look. All actors use same base but their model parts gets swapped upon spawning hence different looking civilians than the actor spawner model. Sorry for my spellin errors, im not a native speaker and im zooted. Thought I point out the spawner tho. Oh and what comes to those kill brushes. Well, cod has 2 types of. The one seen in the video where u die inside of the elevator shaft, well that's a trigger entity that monitors if players are touching it or nearby, then zoot the player. Now the one I mentioned above is a real "kill trigger". Another type of "kill trigger" as seen mostly in zombies is actually not a kill trigger but a function that monitors if players are touching the predefined playable area that the devs have set in the map editor and if any of the players in game stays more than 3 seconds outside of the predefined playable space, well then the function takes the players health away and boom, you're spectating. Now you can avoid the latter deathbarrier by constantly jumping and moving at least 128 units in those 3 secs but as soon as you fail the timing or fail at this "bypass" the game kills you if you're not back inside of the playable area within that next "check". the reason rooms and hallways and things stretch so far is line of sight. they use a tool that shows line of sight when doing walkthroughs and try and fill in that line of sight area and then some just incase.

To put the blame on the US, as this mission essentially causes WW3. Since at the beginning of the mission, you're an American pretending to be a russian to help out makarov, but end of the mission you get shot by him, the russian military/police find your body and think the americans did it.
