There are a few more things as well. - you can get another star from the bowser room. grab bowser, let him go without killing him, let him breath fire creating coins, collect 100 and whammo! the 100 coin star. - the upper locked doors in the real castle have the same message as the doors in the secret domain. Perhaps the fire sea key could unlock them all? - the stars from bowsers room are accounted as part of "big boos haunt". The original course entrance will send you back there.

The upper castle floors sharing the same message makes me want to revisit this hack and see if getting the key changes anything. Though of course, since people have already datamined this to hell and back I'm sure it'll just be neat to find that they open at all, lol. EDIT: Upon loading the ROM again my cheats decided to work, I can confirm that opening any of the doors that are meant to be sealed yields predicable results. Opening most Star Doors with the exception of one in the basement (you go past the door and are just stuck in a small black room) cause you to go Out of Bounds and subsequently die. Opening most Key Doors send you back to the normally accessible areas, with the exception of the ones in the Garden area, which I can confirm use the Bowser in the Fire Sea key and cause the game to hang when opened. I actually had to rewatch the videos again, because I thought I had found something new but it was just the hallway seen at the end of "The Man Dressed in Green", lol.

the max stars you can get in breaking the barrier is 78. the coins on tall tall mountain's slide are gone for some reason, so you cannot get that 100 coin star. the lakitu cam will not let you rotate the camera angle in bowser in the fire sea and bowser in the sky but you can still beat all 3 bowser stages and get their red coin stars. the ending cutscene also glitches out and ends prematurely so the actual credidts don't play and you spawn back into the bob-omb battlefield room, but i'd still count it as beating the game.

I can confirm that areas of the hack do cause lag. even on original hardware, as i have an ever-drive 64. also trying to go through the pipes crashes the game on og hardware

Essentially, this hack is (as of right now) a combination of The Stanley Parable and Portal. it is confusing in its current state, but you can always find a way around it.

I'm pretty sure the reason you can ledgegrab above Bowser 1's door is simply because in order to ROM hack SM64 you have to extend the rom, and extending the rom creates strange oddities such as that.

7:15 I believe this is a bug with the expansion process of Toad's tool 64, maybe some other level editors too. SwankyBox did a great video on the topic, however in this hack it is either caused by you opening the file in Quad64 or MarioNova64's hack creation program causing this to happen.

Im curious to see what happens when you enter Big Boo's Haunt, since when you exit the painting after defeating bowser it shows you collected a star in Big Boo's Haunt (Go on a Ghost Hunt). Maybe it just brings you to bowser's domain or softlocks the game.

You forgot to say about the locked doors in the secret domain, with a 175 stars cheat code, every door is unlocked, some doors cause Mario die, other cause a softlock, other do no effect, just brings Mario to the other side of the doors.

if youre asking what its about, the idea is mario jumps over bowsers trapdoor that would bring him to bowser in the dark world, but bowser thought ahead and put a second trapdoor that brings mario to bowsers secret underground base that was used to plan the whole peach kidnapping thing and such the hack was made for videos on marionova64's channel, but they released the hack to the public after a lot of people asked for it so the hack is pretty weird a lot of the time when you try stuff that wasnt done in the videos

@@brannycedeno6823 its definitely not a meme hack, but its also not a full game either because again it was made specifically for videos and was just released after people were asking for it i guess to summarize it itd be more of a fan hack kinda like star road or such, that gives off vibes of the mario 64 iceburg type stuff but aims more to emulate the writing in actual nintendo games [including humor] and its pretty good for what it is the videos are the best way to experience it since a few things were done through editing and arent in the rom
