Brian, you made my day by your 14 day limit belief. If people were aloud to stay indefinitely it would become littered and crowded. This is a wonderful gift of land to use not abuse. Also, I had wanted to ask you if you were ok, your last couple videos you looked a little tired and down. Not happy you had health issues but happy to know you are on the "road" to recovery. lovely sandwich!

cheryl bryant - you're so right it would end up like a Slab City and things look pretty nasty there as far as all the trash and junk and waste that they've put everywhere it's an unfortunate that people have to be told what to do that they know they should do and that it's the right thing to do like children but that's how it's always been unfortunately.

I live in Oregon and people trash camp sites all the time. There are a few people that I'm aware of, including myself, that will make a day and clean up our beautiful areas. Some people bring their kids and that's a great way to teach children how to respect nature. I agree with your opinions about respecting the laws and also appreciate you for cleaning up after yourself. Thank you for the videos. :)

I'm really glad you shared your opinions on the 14-day rule - I agree completely. I see you bought Francisco Extra Sourdough bread - I lived on that stuff in California and really miss it. They don't carry it here in New England, so I've had three people on separate occasions bring a loaf with them when they came to visit - heaven! 😀

I totally agree with you Brian, that is why I really respect your integrity. 14 days because this is public land and everyone who pays taxes, pays for it. It is just plain respectful to share this resource and that is what the rule is there for. This world is becoming more of a "its all about me and only me" attitude, we are human beings and this is what separates us from the animals.

Hey Brian..ive been following you for quite sometime now and I don't believe I've ever sent you a message. Of all the van life people I follow you have it together better than most. I'm working towards van life as well but with a cpl different variations than what you practice. I get a little irritated with some of the negative comments some people make...and I don't think you let it get you down...but most of us love a glimpse at your life..your positive vibe...your love of nature and life. I'm a combat vet...and a bit of a loner...with a similar fascination for life and nature and I thank you...very much..for what you do. I'll be starting my channel soon as well "Adventures of the Warrior Poet"...youre top notch brother...just wanted to tell you that.

I recently had this dream where my Dad and I were talking about my newly purchased van that looked identical to Brian's. In the dream it strangely had a diesel engine and the narrative my Dad and were chewing on was how GMC made these rare six cylinder inline diesels and the gasket heads were a devil. It was a cause of concern before I had the imaginary trail. Keep on posting Brian safe travels, thank you.

Great video Brian. The 14 day rule is a good one for several reasons. Everyone should abide by it....Have you considered adding a posi unit to your differential? My Winnebago has one and it'll go just about anywhere. It would run you around $500 plus labor. Cheap for the peace of mind you'd have and you'd recoup the cost in greater resale value. Happy travels :)

I love the 'cabin' feel that the natural wood paneling gives to your van. It all looks so cozy in there, like a real room in a cabin, instead of the inside of a van. In just 3 to 4 weeks, in the 1st week of March, I'll be going out to look seriously for a van to live in and travel in. I just hope that I find one with low mileage and a good strong transmission. Stay safe Brian,.much happiness and peace to you. ☮ ☕ 📷 ☺ ✌ .

Growing up my family had about 140 acres in the desert out that way, we had wild Burros (donkeys) that came through all the time. When you think you are all alone all of a sudden you walk up on a few of em, they usually just stared at us and never seemed startled by us. Kinda startled us sometimes though, they're awfully quiet. If youre there long enough you'll see the burros. I've got the 5.8L in my hi-top van and I also just like to cruise an easy 55-60mph too. Not only is it good in mileage but I think it is easier on the whole vehicle. Not to mention my nerves! I am amazed how fast some people like to drive.

You are definitely in the right place to see some wild burros. If you feed them, they’ll let you pet them. Carrots work well or in Oatman they sell bags of burro food for cost in every shop.

Thank you for doing the right thing. It's public land, so play nice with others. I really am getting burned out on the YTs that "mark their spot" & claim as their own, yet will move in for extended periods of time. There are few YT that I watch anymore, because of their selfishness and/or disrespect of the rules, environment, and others. Thank you!!!

Chris Shaw I don’t think it is that hard on these folks. Stay 14 days somewhere, clean up your mess and move 1/2 mile. Repeat process in another 14 days. I hope you get to try it someday. I’m doing this winter in Florida. Next winter I’ll be doing BLM in the Southwest. Good luck to you.😀
