Man...drove right by there on at least three trips and never knew those areas were there. I love the whole concept of short trips from beauty to beauty that you have the time to do. Trips when you only get 10 days of vacation a year always feel like rushing to the big destinations because there is no time to dawdle. I think a lot about dawdling in beauty now that I’m cruising up to retirement and you are showing me a wonderful, doable way. Much appreciated!

Elliott Yamamoto Thnx for the kind words and encouragement! Some days I think about buying my van immediately and blowing this pop stand and other days I get scared. Known is not always best, but unknown is, well, unknown...hope that makes sense. That’s why Brian’s videos are such a godsend.

Great shots around Lake Mead spot1. I even like the scrap-seeking ducks! I've always been a sucker for ducks. I ain't taking a chance with no brain-eating amoebas! I'll have to read up on that! Spot2 looked nice as well. Good one, Brian. :D

We bought our farm mostly because of the creek and swimming hole it had. We wanted the kids to have woods and creek to play in. At first, I had fear about brain-eating amoeba, ;D but I never said anything to the kids because I knew it was an unfounded fear and I didn't want to steal their joy and adventure. They've loved that place for years now. They are all mostly grown and are pretty fearless woodsmen and adventurers. That's part of what I like about your videos, you just go and do and you've been blessed with sone pretty spectacular adventure!

Thank you so much for showing this fantastic spot at the first part of your video. It’s only like an 1 1/2 hr drive from my house!(Vegas) and I didn’t know about it. I’ll be heading out there soon as I am able!! Heck I might be there 7 days out of every month! Quite the rare find in southern NV! Lol! Yep...we’ve had unusually cold weather lately..and lots o wind. Normally much nicer this time of year. Must be the weather....I’ve never seen Kingman Wash so empty before!! It’s really fun watching someone travel your home turf. You were driving and I was all excited...like...hey! that’s KW! Lol!

You are my favorite van dweller. I have to live vicariously through you while I crank out a few more years of work. Just on a personal note I’m not sure I like the desert atmosphere in general but I grew up in upstate New York so I think I like trees and streams. But having had to snow plow my driveway for the tenth time this winter today maybe I could get used to the desert. You don’t have to shovel heat. 😂😂😂. I hope you keep up the great videos! One idea for you: maybe write up an ebook for sale that has GPS coordinates for the best places to stay for free over a year. I’m an idea guy! What can I say.

That cove at the end of Kingman Wash is a popular place. Nice that you were there when only a couple of others were. Did you drive over to Fortification Hill and climb up on top? Spectacular views from up there! When you cross the bridge into NV, you can stop at the Alan Bible Visitor Center to pick up maps for more places on Lake Mead. (That’s my “back yard” from Boulder City.)

That location in King man I've camped several times but not in the last 25yrs. I've seen bighorn sheep right there too. I grew up to lake mead. It's a big man-made lake and it was my backyard and playground literally. I miss it so much and watching these videos I feel like crying. Perfect filming in my opinion.

thanks again for sharing another beautiful place. perfect music to go with it, too. it makes me want to be there, now! patience is one of God's gifts. good things come to those who wait; hienz ketchup commercial from before you were born, I think. and I know what you mean about not knowing what's at the end of the road. as a child I used to explore the woods. I too, looked anxiously forward to seeing what was around the next path. it was my favorite thing to do. you have an adventurous spirit. but you already know that, hence: "adventure"vanman!

Every time you go someplace I look on Google Earth. It’s interesting to see how much the lake has receded. Even with your drone you can see the end of the (paved) boat launch which would normally be under water. Even where you’re stopped your tires might be in water.
