I'm 78 & in 1981, I bought a 7 room, split-level home, in a good neighborhood of L.I. NY, for $41,500! Today, the average new car costs that much! That same house is now worth $550,000! I wonder how much that "new" car will be worth, in 40 years? (Lower car prices!)

Personally, I don't have much hope that car prices will decrease. Back in the day, car costs weren’t nearly this outrageous. With vehicles constantly advancing and new technologies being implemented, it seems like prices are only going to get worse
