I feel the segment with the Bird's Nest is more like a Chinese idiom-'鸠占鹊巢' ('a pigeon occupying a magpie's nest'), which means unlawfully occupying someone else's territory or resources. It originates from pigeons laying their eggs in magpies' nests, hatching and then pretending to be magpie chicks, eventually killing the real magpie offspring. I believe Alter might indeed have stolen identities from other universes.

Also, lots of people realized this, but the characters that asked her *who are you* seem to be alternate version of our legends. First is mirage, surrounded by decoys, then is crypto with same jacket and beard. Then i think is rampart and newcastle, then rev, ballistic and octane. Which would mean what she is haunting alternate version of apex legends and now going for our horizon

So Alter is a living Paradox tied with Horizon assuming she messed with timeline and the portals (green) from olympus teleporting is different from Alter's portal (purple) so they both are made by compeletly different person.

I think Alter somehow managed to unite her alternate timeline selves into one being which would explain why she has so many different "backstories" as though she maybe remembers all of her alternate timelines and that's why she's as crazy as she is. Kinda like Everything Everywhere All At Once, with some kind of mental snapping point where she couldn't handle anymore of the timelines she converged.

My theory is that the bracelet that Horizon created to see Newton winds up creating a catastrophic event due to the attempts to tamper with time killing Alter’s parents who were one of the scientists that worked on Renee (Real Wraith) and the other test subjects, and Alter wants revenge. The word "Alter" is a term used to refer to the "personalities" that inhabit in the same body in cases of people with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder, or multiple personality disorder as it was usually referred to). Maybe Alter suffers from DID, and all those stories she tells are real to her, referencing the experiences of her other "personalities". Even the Bloodhound one, as it is not uncommon for people with DID to have Alters that are personification of celebrities or people that were around the person's life.
