This is what so many dumb executives don't understand: The more multi-talented people you have who are listened to, the more you win. Case in point: they animated a fight scene in a way that other combat geeks would go gaga for, creating the potential for discussion on KZbin and further engagement and more and more people who will watch their amazing stories. That's a series that will stand the test of time and keep getting bigger and bigger and be something generations will show to their kids and grandkids. It's a moneymaker. Genuine talent, artistic vision, and teamwork are moneymakers! Good quality entertainment works BETTER. I really hope Arcane and BG3 will teach this world something it's forgotten.

its possible that the move was more accurate in an animated series versus a liveaction one because animators HEAVILY rely on reference footage, especially in a show like arcane where character movements are very precise and realistic

i gotta say so far (i'm on episode 5) im not entirely pleased in terms of writing, and i fear arcane is yet another example of style over substance. BUT the animators and now hearing julien talk about the actual research involved in the martial arts, shows that at least half the ppl working on the show really care about the quality. shame about the writing/ plot & the character development but there are some really amazing things going on behind the scenes & on screen despite that.
