Great video. I'm generally in favour of Southgate's squad selection here. Saddens me to see Kalvin left out but I think it's the right call. He's got to go back to basics for a bit. I'm glad Gordon is getting a chance to gel with the likes of Kane and Bellingham. He's earnt that. It's important we select players who really want to be there and who are determined for us to win. Your submission on Ben White's absence and his decision not to participate shows your incompetency in the punditry business. We need to learn to respect whatever decisions each of us decides to take. If he is not comfortable working with Holland, should he force his emotions through it and probably have a terrible time with the team. Has anyone asked Holland if he truly wants Benny to be in the team as well? You are not in his shoes, hence won't know what he might have went through or felt.

Could not disagree more. Do you really think any footballer joining up to play for England would have a "terrible time". These players are given luxury. No argument would stop me representing my country. It clearly isn't anything serious as there has been no ripples with the wider group and Holland. This is clearly some personal thing for White. I do not agree with his decision to not represent his country just because of a fall out. He needs to grow up. We will agree to disagree. Many professional pundits saying the exact same on this.

I do agree with you on the Ben White thing. On this topic since the World Cup the questions were fired at Southgate a lot but now I think the questions will be fired at White. And I hope he’ll elaborate on it. Also, sorry have to bring this up but when you say “we don’t have any midfielders” I’m like “yes we do!😭” When everybody’s fit we have options to add to that squad: Trent, Jones, Elliot, Loftus-Cheek, Ward-Prowse, Mainoo, Barkley, Eze. Mount and Kalvin if playing and playing well. It’s just they’re different kinds of midfielders and different qualities. Good video tho btw.

Not sure why everybody is jumping on the rashford hate. He plays well for England, tactically is a good fit next to Kane because he likes to run behind (like son used to), and most importantly his form isn’t even that bad… the guy has got 5 goals in his last 9 prem games and people are speaking about him like he’s playing like Anthony

Totally agree. Rashford is good in an England shirt regardless of his club form, he’s like Maguire in that sense and he should be our starting LW. If he doesn’t have a good game he can be replaced by Foden, Gordon or Palmer.

There’s a tweet going round about how proud Ben White was to represent England and how much it meant to him and his family, so I don’t buy that he’s not patriotic or just doesn’t care. Clearly something went down during the World Cup while he had personal issues and we don’t know exactly what this was so I don’t like to speculate.

Whatever it is it can't have been that bad otherwise there would have been further issues with Holland and the rest of the squad. All reports seem to point out from multiple sources is that White was a bit of a loner and couldn't gel with the rest of the group

@@ChannelEnglandFootballCEF Yes there’s also rumours that Holland called him out for not taking video analysis seriously and referenced the fact he said he doesn’t watch football or something. We don’t know exactly what happened but I think White has been thrown under the bus by Southgate and he’s now going to get dogs abuse from fans. He could have said he picked the best squad or something and taken responsibility because that’s what being a good leader is but he’s thrown him to the wolves, especially when Southgate is probably leaving and now he’s in a position where White can probably not play for England again

Henderson? Rashford? Shouldn't be in the squad. It's a.very attack minded squad, but it's whether Sourgate plays that way? I doubt it Gary. As for Ben White, look I'm country over club always it obviously something has gone on that he isn't happy with. 2 sides to every story. I don't think it's a case of White putting club over country, it's more serious than that. Maybe when the Sourgate era is done more stories might come out about players of this generation not being happy playing under Sourgate? Time will tell Skal Gary

There is literally a video of him that he did for the media when he was first picked saying how proud he was. The truth is as well is that he might actually be needed by his country. All the smoke seems to be that this was a petty argument between him and Holland. No other England players seem to have a problem or backing him up, no dressing split because of it. So, clearly it wasn't a huge row where something terrible happened to him. Yet he continued to sulk and refusing to play for his country. I honestly cannot think of anything that someone could say to be in the England set up that would stop me playing for my country if I was needed.
