The D Faith thing is because she’s in Monk. The same thing happens with axes bows and brawling to characters who pass through fighter, which is very useful for giving archers death blow and certain characters Curved Shot

If she had a boon in Faith, she'd be the ultimate Lindhart replacement. She does have the single best spell list by a good margin. The only thing she would want is a siege tome.

I hoped you knew this but you can actually use the impregnable gambit on Hapi and she will still draw all monster attacks in range. This is especially useful on the Sothis paralogue. You can buy a lot of time while reducing their AS if you equip Swarm.

Personally I think Hapi is top 10 at the very least. She has the 2nd best spell list in the game and dealing effective damage against monsters is always really nice.

Exhaustive Strike Hapi is needlessly funny and anyone that hasn't tried it, you absolutely should. For the full experience, use Aymr, Crusher or Freikugel. Incredible really

I feel like it should be worth mentioning the cheese strat on BL final, with the Serios shield, I know you mentioned the combo in the vid, but as this is seen as one of the more unfair maps a cheese strat is always helpful.

Just beat maddening silver snow with a pretty meme hapi build. Serios shield Hapi tanking all the monsters. It requires some stat boosters but most of the enemies are magic damage. She was taking 13 damage a turn from the boss with the shield and it made the fight a meme.

Her Exhaustive Strike with a Steel Axe+ is 46 base damage on a monster. That's 53 mt if she gets no stat growth whatsoever.

the reason why hapi's faith is D only in chapters 3-5 is becuz she's a monk during that period, a class which requires both D in faith/reason to access, so the game automatically gives her that (kinda like catherine/shamir always start with A-in swords/bow when reqruited)

Monk Doesn't require double D's though, it's an "Or" qualification.

Fighter is an OR qualification too but if you recruit someone out of house in fighter they get D rank in axe, bow and brawling.

The nice thing about Hapi is she is the best utility unit in the game. Access to warp, Physic, early banshee is very useful, Swarm is good vs monsters and setting up to steal items, and she can reach far with death+Valkyrie+Thyrsus for link attack Bonuses Her personal ability is very good with impregnable wall. It makes some paralouges less annoying (sothis & Marianne’s) & chapter 9 much easier. With the serios Shield it also makes the endgames of blue lions and silver snow much more manageable She’s also doesn’t require too much investment or going out of your way to get what she wants: Monk (Magic+2)->Mage(Fiendish blow)->Valkyrie(Uncanny blow). She gets reason prowess for the accuracy boost naturally and gets Mov+1 if you keep her in a riding class

The reason Hapi's faith rank bounces around is OOC units also get the all ranks needed to certify for their current class, and the game reads the "or" as an "and". A similar thing happens with Lysethia's faith as well as any students who become fighters.

So much you can do with Hapi. I like to combine the Death spell with her Battalion Wrath. Or combine Swarm with Seal Defense she'd get from mastering Wyvern Rider. And picking up Transmute from Dark Flyer wouldn't hurt given that it goes well with her high resistance.

Hilariously, bolt axe+ Exhaustive Strike hits for 27 (14 base, 10 damage from 30 durability, 3 from combat art), dwarfing basically any spell that's not Dark Spikes on an effective target.

Every time I try to use her her Stats end up being trash. Her growths being similar to Dorothea's is not a good thing. I wish I had as much positive to say about her as I do with the other three wolves. I still think she's really pretty and her character's great. Hopefully I'll get a Hapi that doesn't fall behind someday

Hapi is omega loaded with utility. She has my absolute favorite spell list in the game. Unpopular~ish opinion but she is the best mage in the game despite her flaws. I won't drop in-house Linhardt or Lysithea for her but she's a mainstay on the team if I'm allowing DLC. Even without focusing on Warp, she's the easiest way to add an extra Physic user on the team if you for example make Marianne a Falcoknight or something. Authority bane is never a good thing and without a boon in Faith she's significantly slower at getting Warp but she's free to recruit and her spell list/personal skill are way too useful. You can use Seiros Shield or Impregnable Wall to cheese or shut down hard monster bosses very easily. Like you mentioned in the video, Hapi basically has something to do at any given turn. Utility is something I value highly and it firmly makes Hapi the best mage for me.

Can someone straighten me out here? How much does "effective damage" boost damage? Ive heard x2 and x3. In the video, x2 was mentioned, but ive heard other sources say x3 and trying to do the math myself, i swear ive seen both. Which is it?

i JUST got the dlc and played through cindered shadows (after almost 400 hours without the dlc lol) and hapi was pretty garbage during it, lmao. good to know she’s good during the main story because i love her character and design.
