I think Mayo blew it with the onside kick. If they kicked it deep and Buffalo ends up with a 4th & short inside their own 40-45 there is no way they'd go for it knowing a failed attempt would automatically have the Pats in field goal position. They would of kicked and gave the Patriots a possession or two or three to get a field goal.
