Thanks for subbing, you the best. The surface is plexiglas (linked in bio) on a lightstand which was custom welded to hold a sheet.

Nice! One way that I often simulate a modeling light is using an LED flashlight. It allows you to easily see the result of various light positions without taking shots. Just a tip...
