I'm guessing it probably wasn't the best idea to price out your existing 4 Runner enthusiasts. I was going to replace my 2011 V6 bullet proof 4 Runner but my mechanic said do not buy a new one with the new engine. I'm keeping my trusty and reliable 2011. When I called two different Toyota dealerships in my area to ask if they had any 1958 Landcruisers that I could take a look at, they both said the only way they could show one to me is if I paid them a $1,000 deposit. What has happened to Toyota?!?!?

We get 1-2 mpg less on the 4-turbo vs V6 on the Lexus RX350. These engines are not for mileage and only for emissions. Here on a truck chassis, the 4-turbo without hybrid is going to be a dog. Toyota needs to make hybrid standard.

"Aggressive" redesign? Not hardly! Toyota should have gotten much more modern and radical with the redesign. I.E. More streamlined tail lights, new and improved 6-cylinder engine, more safety features, another 10 inches longer so you have a real, functional 3rd row, etc.

Toyota has gone crazy!🤯. Same reason I won’t buy a new Tacoma. Pissy little 4 banger with a turbo strapped on. These new Toyotas will be sitting on the lots for a while. If I want a 4 banger I’ll buy a Corolla. Bye Toyota!

We have a generation 4 and a generation 5 4Runner currently in the garage bought new (SR5 & TRD OR), I have driven a Toyota since 1989. I never asked for a 4 cylinder turbo, a big screen on the dash, or frankly a vehicle that literally looks like it has body damage or kicked in rear quarters and front fenders from new. All I can ask is what happen?! Bye Toyota.

I thought this was a great overview of the trim versions I'm currently ordered the off-road premium gas only Questions There are some reports that acceleration is same or worse with hybrid- due to weight, and that the hybrid was added more for torque - any response? The main reason not to get the hybrid for me is I don't way it takes up space in the back Is there a different towing capacity hybrid vs non?

I agree, way too high of a price. So glad we ordered a 23 Limited for 59K. It's the same with the new Land Cruiser's, they are priced way too high also. Big deal it takes more gas, it'll last longer than the new turbos and I can buy alot of gas for the price difference. This makes depreciation even less on the older gens.

Less reliable (based on Tundra/Tacoma issues) plus a 4 banger turbo in a heavy vehicle which means in the boost all the time and more expensive. No thanks Toyota.

Toyota owns 20% of Subaru making them Subaru's largest shareholder. They also supply Subaru with parts and engineering. Maybe that is how Subaru's quality is increasing.

I think everyone is over shadowing how expensive Toyota safety sense 3.0 really is. It is standard on all going forward models so it’s not really surprising that all of these vehicles have a very hiked up price.
