Smith missed 37 games in4 seasons last year was his "comeback year"...... We are one left tackle injury away from having the same season we have had the last 5 years, we've Changed the starters in the last 5 years, 4 games into the season there's a injury and everyone folds. Ok great, new starters fantastic but fixing the problem is adding DEPTH!! IF YOU DON'T ADD DEPTH YOU HAVE FIXED NOTHING LEARNED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I don't know where everyone thinks adding a injury prone (except one year) Smith to take the place of a injury prone Becton is fixing a oline.... DEPTH. D.E.P.T.H. until they have starting backups they have done nothing but change the starters names. Even guys not known to be injury prone like Simpson could go down... aron wasn't injury prone either 😂 It's the same moves Joe has made on oline every year "add a hopefully better player but have zero backup" 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ taking care of the oline WAS ADDRESSING LACK OF DEPTH this year not just getting a starter like here we go again.... DRAFT A TACKLE there is nothing else to talk about

You was spot on. Between Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, Troy Fatanu or my personal favorite Taleise Fuaga, atleast one should should be there at 10. And if not I’d trade back a few spots and try to get Mims or Lathum with an additional pick for 2025. Id bet atleast 4 out of those 6 guys will be worth that pick so it’s not time to get cute. This is the draft to get a tackle of the future.

@@HartofSports that is a fact 👏 we need to grab a tackle, people fail to realize there are way less actually good o-line tackles available through out the year.... wide receivers and running backs ALWAYS pop up, they are easier to aquire, it might even be easier to find a decent qb but finding a savage offensive tackle who can block, read defense, and doesn't miss games from injury without paying them a trillion dollors is like finding a Unicorn 😂 I bet 3 months from now they will still be talking about wide receivers or running backs have been "linked to possibly going to the jets" but find a real o-line tackle.... way harder 🤦‍♂️ like sheesh just shore up that line and that will allow you to better evaluate all the rest of the offensive positions and make more meaningful adjustments..... half the reason alot of the offensive moves we made were wrong or waisted was because every year we only got 4 games out the season of competent o-line play.....

@@HartofSports been a jets fan for 46 years I've seen this team be great a bunch of times and I remember why and what it took for the jets to be competitive..... having no starting back up tackles isn't it I know that... rather draft a franchise tackle for cheap we can keep (hard to find) for depth and just sign a star wide receiver to a one year deal then draft a wr and still be searching for a legitimate franchise tackle when thr barely are any.... football gods dropped the best offensive tackle draft class on a year the jets are rebuilding their o-line and we will probably take a pass rusher pick 10 😂😂😂🤦‍♂️

The football gods don’t bless you this perfectly that often. Why they can’t just Sign Odell and Mike Williams for 1 year 30 million (17/13) and try to really try to go get a Super Bowl is beyond me.
