People are forgetting the recent Klay history. The Warriors gave Klay a max deal. Klay played 0 games for the first 2 years of the deal at the max salary. The next year was Klay struggling to get back to form. That is 3 years of getting paid as a max player without real max player production. When Golden State won the championship, Klay was the 5th best player in the Finals. Curry was unbelievable. Wiggins was a star in his role. Draymond was Draymond and contributed everywhere after a rough start. Kevon Looney dominated the boards and helped the Warriors control the ball. Klay was meh. Finally, Klay couldn't even give Steph the little help he needed to get out of the play in. The 2 year 48 mil deal the Warriors offered was respectable. People who say they disrespected Klay are just wrong. Klay overestimated his own value and was trying to get paid on nostalgia although the Warriors already gave Klay that contract. They already paid him a max deal while he wasn't a max player.
