Glad I've watched this before venturing into online play, just started playing FH5 and loving it, what car would you recommend to start learning the ropes with for online racing?

@6:40 as someone who spent a couple years racing here as my home circuit IRL, the move you just did 1: gives me anxiety, because everyone know how sketchy as hell that turn is (it's deceptively complex to get right IRL and it can and will make or break your lap time next lap) and it's a bit of an unwritten rule itself that unless it's absolutely unavoidable you never go 2 wide onto that apex, because with the speed you can carry through that turn will force your car to the outside on the straight and if you've got two cars going to the outside into the straight bad things can happen. 2: cause it took me a little while to understand rule one and as a result had quite a few fellow racers have some choice words with me in pit lane. so all in all if you're on that track IRL and coming down hill with the front of your car at their rear quarter panel, the best thing you can go is back off the throttle just a tad and follow them through, especially when that person is on the outside and you're on the inside, because he's actually racing the proper line, and you have to dive into that turn when the bottom of the hill compresses your suspension. that turn has a very narrow window and having you on the inside like that just makes it all the more narrow.

Leaderboard cars and the unwritten rule came to light for me, way back on forza Motorsport 3 when i tried to run my 773 datsun in a drag lobby, got kicked before i turned my clutch on in settings..

You'll probably have to really work with the suspension, on a whim I upgraded one to B class and it literally lept off the road, all four wheels, at Laguna Seca Short turn 1 when coming down the hill.

Lol ik I hear ya. If there's an upgrade that you're struggling to fit in the car and stay within PI restrictions, you can fit heavier/larger rims to bring the cars PI down to regulation.

miata is op in real life. did a canyon run with my neighbor in his mustang gt500 and me in my 01 nb miata, he left me on the straights but he couldn't keep up in the twisties

Some cars are absolutely broken in certain classes though. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how good you drive the car is just too good for the class, and it discourages you from driving anything else because you know you want stand a chance at all.
