As an American, I'm supposed to hate Iran. But, being the thinker that I am, I decided to make my own decision about Iran by reviewing the history between Iran, the US, and other nations. After years of reading and understanding the nuances between the Iranian-US conflict, I now understand that our hatred of Iran was synthetic. It was born from embarrassment that the Iranian people would continually overthrow our puppets. Iran, historically, has not been an aggressive nation but they've also defended themselves righteously. This time is no different. Iran has maintained a very timid approach, despite knowing they could do serious damage to Israel and other nations in the region. Yet, they bit their tongue and tried avoiding escalatory actions. But I think they've finally realized that the US and Israel have decided to attack them, blame them for everything, so they have no choice but to retaliate in meaningful ways. It is unfortunate but I think it has to happen. Israel is a problem child that the US has protected for too long. We should not engage in war for Israel, which is what Bibi wants us to do, because that's what Israel always demands. But I don't think it'll work out this time. I think the US is on the losing end of this one, unfortunately. I just hope someone in the US can understand how we got here and stop being the world's bully and start working with people and nations.
