@704JOE I never said it was his Job to be in their business or keep em out the club, it just seems like their relationship wasn't that close....he never knew what was up with EJ when asked. Even after the bud fight they asked wassup with ej and he said "I haven't talked to him"....Most trainers seem to communicate with their fighters and know whats going on with them, but Derrick seemed to come off as if him and ej didn't talk much.

What PPVs has he done and before you mention bud, i recognize that his success was built off beating soence mell has never been any ticket seller in nay capacity. Also bud doesn't need mell. Mell isn't a big name bud currently is. Thats what happens when you win important fights. Bud can make money without Mell and he can win titles without Mell.thats why the Spence fight was so important, it opened all the doors. He's headlining a super good Boxing Lineup and is one of the most anticipated fighters today. Mell is coming off wife beating allegations whilst laying am egg in his biggest fight today and losing any casual appeal. Its a Great Fight to make but realistically

He tried against CANELO. Mell went up 2 weight classes and y'all acting like he lost to Bud Crawford or something. He lost to the best fighter in boxing. Nobody has hurt canelo or dropped canelo. What was so wrong about mell boxing tryna get a decision. Getting knocked out don't do nothing good for your career. Let the ref stop the fight. But when you get knocked out everybody laughing and casual fans tell you to retire. So mell did the right thing. Because being a gladiator nowadays only gets you laughed at and trolled.

It's not after the losses that their leaving. It's the way he switched up and conducting business. Derrick James going against the agreement he made to get paid. If you noticed. Derrick James wasn't wanting more till he started training Ryan and if he thinks Ryan is seriously going to make a run at unified champion or undisputed then he cool with Only training Ryan. But Ryan performance can't be credited to Derrick James it was the steroids.
