I’m happy for Zach Wilson. The kid was getting absolutely abused here by too many fans, the media, and the organization. Given the fact that the organization and coaching staff botched his development and expected him to win now when he at least needed to sit for a year or two to learn. A kid aught not be abused for not being ready when the team wanted him to be ready prematurely. Hope Zach make his haters eat their words.

The fact that the supposed original QB whisperer clearly signed off on this trade and wanted Zach (both back in the day and now today) should at least be reason for concern for Jet fans that there is a real chance that the end of this story is how most Jet stories end.

If Zach goes on and has 10+ years elsewhere as an improved QB giving a majority of his NFL career as a reliable and dependable franchise QB, it would be the most Jets thing ever. Another miss on the QB position by the Jets would surprise me here though. I give ZW a 40% chance that his NFL career is continuing in 2028. I think he does have a shot in the right system.

Saw this trade coming months ago... Only difference is I thought it would be a straight-up trade for Jerry Jeudy. It just seemed like the ideal trade for both sides to dump an underperforming high draft pick to a team that needed them and could give them the best chance at redemption.
