You're entirely right on that one. He definitely seems like a good Doctor Doom if they can get him, but there's a huge issue on that which would really bother me. Doctor Doom as a role would be important for years, and Neeson while seemingly a good fit for it is already very old. We had Baylan in the Ahsoka series obviously meant as a main character and a very good one, and the actor died soon after the first season. There was also Greef in The Mandalorian who played a good character, and he too died soon after the job was done. The recent pattern of talented old man actors working under Disney as good characters and then dying makes me very uncomfortable with Neeson being a consideration. I'd hate to see him do that job and then just die shortly after. It would be horrible for a third guy to join the pattern that's oddly been happening, and on top of that it would leave a taint on the character for everyone seeing it who would know. If Neeson were closer to fifty I'd love to see that, but I really don't like this odd pattern of old guys working for them and just dying very soon after it happens. I want whoever plays Doom to be no older than fifties, and hopefully their unfortunate pattern not persist.

Okay I LOVE the idea of Neeson as Doom. I like Cillian Murphy even better but after the Oscar I think that is a harder get. I also like Neeson better if we only see him in the armor. In other words if we never see him in flashbacks. Me personally,I don't think Doom is in FF a lot. I think he will be referenced and have a small role, more likely a post credits setup. If Marvel has pivoted away from Kang and are doing Secret Wars with Doom instead, I could be wrong. They may want to make Doom more prominent ahead of that (just like Ant-Man 3 was supposed to do for Kang). This way the big bad will have at least shown up a time or two before Avengers 5 As far as John Malkovich goes I don't think he is going to have a big role either. I think FF plans on leaning into the Kirby-Lee aesthetician of the the 60s and show us several fun cameos of early FF villains before launching into the Coming of Galactus story that is the main meat of the film. These minor villains could include Mole Man,Red Ghost,the Wizard,Puppet Master or....and I pause here for a reason, Molecule Man! If you know the Hickman run of Secret Wars you know how important Molecule Man is to it. So doing this with Doom and Molecule Man really does tons to set up what Secret Wars is going to look like.

At 71 it doesn’t really add up to him playing Doom. But it would make sense for him playing Abraham Whistler in Blade.

I was really hoping he would have been cast for Galactus, but he'd play a very good Dr. Doom as well if thats the case!!

For everyone who's not in the performing arts, casting doesn't exactly work this way. They probably have several projects they're casting for, ones we're not aware of or aren't exactly public yet. So he could be in F4, or he could be in another film that's down the line. Be open to that he fact he could be anyone in a film not going to be out in '25 and '26.

Doom in the FF movie would be awesome. The fact that it's an alternate universe he doesn't have to be the 616 version.
