Glad they got him, but being cautiously optimistic since I was fired up when they acquired Polanco and we know how that's gone. Jerry/Justin are kinda due for a trade acquisition to work out. lol TBF, Raley has been alright. Anxious to hear his thoughts on being teammates again with Randy. Also, FWIW Randy has 178 wRC+ batting 4th and only a 71 wRC+ batting 3rd. Julio has only a 69 wRC+ batting 2nd this year and a 105 wRC+ batting 3rd. Hope they acquire a legitimate bat or 2 that is comfortable hitting at the top of the order.

Difference as they said you never know how people will perform making the switch to t-mobile, but it helps when they have a past of hitting in t mobile, garver was like 0-33 or something in t-mobile when we got him, Polanco not alot better, randy hits .289/.333/.511 in t-mobile... just saying you don't know how they will make the switch work but I like this guy alot for us, his energy and good vibes will surely help this squad even if he continues to have an off season

Yo, Locked On Crew! Could we break down on the show exactly WHY it's so hard to hit at T-Mobile Park? There's obviously the early season marine layer that makes homeruns fly balls and the weird batter's eye, but how much of this is actually legit? From what I gather, Mike Trout loves our batters eye and Ichiro managed to hit over .300 here for 10 straight seasons so this can't be the whole story. Almost every single player we trade for regresses at T-Mobile, and some flat out just suck after 3 months. What actually gives? P.S Stoked for Arozarena trade. Hoping he does well this year.

@snorlax8963 alright great let's talk about this season. Since June, so the most recent 2 months, he's batting .290 with an excellent slash line. He's hitting at an all-star level right now, as in at this exact moment we acquired him. We essentially got an all star level hitter at a position of need for 2 1/2 years and it didn't even cost us a top 10 prospect. You are the only person on planet Earth who wouldn't immediately accept that trade. His batting average at T-mobile park is over .280. He got 2nd place in the HR derby at T-mobile park. And he's only costing us about 8 mil a year, 3 mil this season. My point is, quit being a hater. Be happy the mariners went out and got a guy who is an all star level player with a good track record, is cheap on the payroll, was cheap to aquire, we will have him for multiple seasons in his prime (he's only 29) and for the love of God someone who will bring some energy to this historically bad offense.

I understand trades are more likely not made than they are likely to be made, but based on the pieces still available and all the smoke around the Sox, I'm gives the M's a plus-shot to also land Robert and say 'top this' to the rest of the AL West. If Stanton allows it, Jerry will get it done. Please, please, pleeeaaase let Jerry cook. By the way, IF that happens you are officially committing to Luke Raley as the 1B, which means a 3-for-2 swap, both corner OF and 1B. Ifwe can't get Vlad... this would be a more than suitable move to address the position. This lineup once Julio and eventually JP get back could go from near unwatchable to one of the more fun lineups in baseball in a blink.
