Canzone should stay down in AAA. He'll definitely get playing time there. What's going on with Luis Urias? 🤔 I don't know why Scott is so stubborn with continuing to use low leverage pitchers in high leverage situations. If it wasn't obvious before (it should've been for anyone who knows anything about pitchers) it should be obvious by now that Saucedo isn't. At the end of the day, he never really has been. They were counting on Speier to be that guy from the left side, and he's in AAA. Tanner Scott would've been nice, but he cost the Padres a lot to acquire. Scott has also been stubborn with guys like Garver too. Some *might* try to call it patience, but it's being stubborn. How many hundreds of (wasted) plate appearances does it really take to figure it out with guys like him, Wong, Pollock, etc.? Scott's shine from 2021 is definitely wearing off.
@mrsticky005Сағат бұрын
I don't think Servais is being stubborn with Garver at all. Garver is despite his struggles the best option the Mariners got for back up catcher right now.
@stevenlindberg8347Сағат бұрын
I would bet that dipoto us making scott play Garver as a desperate attempt for him turning it around and then jerry can tell himself he was right when everyone else was wrong even though no amount of Garver turning it around will make up for how he has played till now

To be fair, the bp hasn't been performing lately up to a spot where he could be good managing it. When he does put them in the right situation, they must get it done. Where I think Scott struggles most though is finding the sweet spot at the end of a starter's workload.
