I was hit by the one we had back in December. I was praying long before I saw it. I HEARD it. You will never forget that sound once you hear one for the first time.

I was up in my dorm at APSU when the sirens started. I grabbed my Ferrets and put em in their travel kennel and booked it to Terrance because they have a tornado shelter under it. I saw that Tornado off in the distance. Sadly, one of my friends got her apartment destroyed by it when she was in it. Her Mom's dog died, and her Boyfriend was put in the hospital. She thought her cats died, but both were found under the rubble unharmed. Thankfully, word of it quickly spread around campus and we are funding to help her pay medical bills n stuff.

All I can say is we are so thankful it didn’t hit my house. We were all napping when it hit. By the time our alarm system gave us warning it already passed directly overhead, touched back down and ravaged the front of our neighborhood. I heard the alarm and looked out the window and you couldn’t see at all other than a blanket of dark grey and debris slapping into our house. If it had touched down any early my family would have been likely severely injured or worse. My buddy up the road had multiple beams and 2x4 that went straight through their 2nd story bedroom and living room. Spent all weekend helping to board up houses, clean up etc. and even still so many houses remain with half the house gone.

Reminds me of a white noise machine. I'm from Texas and for me maybe it sounds like train cars running FAST on a track but then for me it turns into just static sounding. Crazy 😮

I would definitely feel a tremendous sense of relief seeing a tornado move past me, and in knowing that it won't be heading my way! The South honestly seems like an absolutely horrible part of the country when it comes to tornadoes!

I was at my work when this happened, my phone kept beeping and telling us to go to our shelter and my boss was like “ well wait and see what happens “ but it kept on beeping and so we went downstairs to the basement.
