I love watching your videos, such a diverse team of horses and ponies under your training.

I am wondering if those two were "not a matched pair". The brown one was lagging a lot when they were together. Also wondered about his comparative condition, as his coat was woollier.

Very frustrating when the sound keeps cutting out, especially half way through some interesting comment.

great job, where can I find information about handling miniature stallions and teaching them manners and training them. Not all countries geld everything so someplace there must be information about stallions.

Treat them the same and with the same respect as you would a 16hh stallion and you can't go far wrong!

ok, that is great, but I haven[t handled a big stallion so Is there a good book about working with stallions?

I wonder if little ones like this don't know they're little but think they're just like the big horses? You know, how a chihuahua dog doesn't know he isn't a Great Dane?

Is it the same carriage the little ones are pulling both as pair and as singles? Why is it rattling so much with singles?
@barryhook29 жыл бұрын
Mette Guld Yes it is the same carriage; it makes more noise with the singles as we leave the pair swingle trees on, which are attached to the splinter bar. The single swingle tree is attached to the shafts, so that comes off automatically when we put the pole back on but we feel its a good thing to get the ponies used to any noise and the clinking/rattling of the carriage, by leaving the pair equipment on the vehicle. This carriage is also noisier than the others we use as it has solid tyres instead of pneumatic ones.

barryhook2 Right thanks. I just bought a carriage very similar to this one and was told a single Shetland wouldn't be able to pull it, but I can see you have an even smaller pony pulling it+2 people. No worries at all
