I have a BCS 735 10hp with the plow and rear tiller attachments my father bought back 0n May 5, 1987. He used it very little, due to water shortages/price in the Ca Desert, and put in in storage after he drained the gas, fogged the cylinder etc. Was very meticulous with his equipment. It has the original ACME engine. I have all the paperwork for it (manual, warranty, brochure, sales receipt, even the paper advert from 1987) It sits in my garage here in Wa.

Where can I find dirt like that, initial plowing, and not one single rock, in rocky ground, that thing would buck like a bronco.
@BCSAmerica4 жыл бұрын
We have really nice soil here in the Willamette Valley, for sure. But the Rotary Plow does handle large rocks very well. Check this out: www.bcsamerica.com/news/rotary-plow-handles-rocks

@@BCSAmerica I've been doing a lot of research lately on walk behind tractors and a lot of other different attachments for a five acres farm I wanna start in Liberia. I've looked at various manufacturers like DR Power and BILLYGOAT...so far your products are a clear winner for what I need considering everything. I plan on getting your Model 770 tractor, brush-cuter, Precision Depth Roller/Rear tine tiller (Combo), and rotary plow. My question is, how well does your rear tine tiller and rotary plow perform against roots that are .5" to 1.5" thick? Compared to rocky soil roots are my only major concern. Please reply....here or kelhorac@gmail.com

where Missouri and we hit a lot of Fieldstone first time we plow a new spot the rotary plow normally throws the stone on top or we can easily pick it up and carry it off the field, although we need to replace are plowshares every year because of all the rocks, and our tiller tines also

I would love to see how that would work in un-tilled Alabama red clay?
@rudolphhessian41837 ай бұрын
i bounce my older model bcs off california sandstone and it hops skips ahead when tines hit. but if you have deeper dirt works great, just dont run over metal stakes on ground may take a leg off. I want to buy newer model like 779 with forward reverse knob control.

Which procedure do you suggest to use on a slope? Thanks
@leydenhumphries41583 жыл бұрын
Doesn't look like it jumps and bucks like most rear tine tillers do. What keeps it from doing this? If I plow/ till new ground too fast it digs in and takes off like a rabbet!
@BCSAmerica3 жыл бұрын
Hi Leyden, The Rotary Plow attachment in this video chunks the soil and throws it to the right, rather than mixing the layers of soil like a Rear Tine Tiller. Though, you're correct about our tillers also. The weight of the machine is balanced over the tines, so you don't need to apply downward pressure like other machines. This helps with bucking quite a bit. If you are tilling virgin ground with a lot of rocks or roots, you'll still get some bucking. In those cases, we recommend working in first gear and making multiple passes.
@PaulLadendorf2 жыл бұрын
Try it on hard clay and you'll get the bucking and jumping you're referring to.

Is the740 or 750 better or more suited for commercial use?
@BCSAmerica4 жыл бұрын
Great question! Model 749 (or 740 in Europe) is the most popular model we sell to professional users. Model 750 has the same engine and range of attachments, with one exception: it is the only tractor that is suited to power the 33" HD tiller. The size and weight of that attachment require a cast-iron gearbox plate where the PTO connects. Model 750 also features gear-reduction mechanisms that lower the ground speed in order to increase the tine-to-wheel speed ratio. This means mowing speeds are slower also, but grass or cover crops spend more time processing under the mower. Let us know if you have any other questions!

@@BCSAmerica thanks a whole lot, your answer was very helpful. However I work on a hilly terrain, and intend to cultivate using the swivel rotary plough, and So which of the two has the greater advantage for this job? Thanks I look forward to your reply.
@BCSAmerica4 жыл бұрын
@@bagonickmodeste9658 Either the 749 or 750 will power the Swivel Rotary Plow just fine. The ground speeds are slower with the 750 due to the gear reduction mechanisms I mentioned above, so it will take more "bites" per forward foot of travel.

Hi, I have a pair of the 49cm bcs steel wheels beacuse I will use a 180° reversible plough. Are weights necessary for the steel wheels, does the land have to be "worked" before I can use the plough?
@BCSAmerica4 жыл бұрын
If you're using the reversible ROTARY plow, weights will probably not be necessary. If this is the reversible moldboard plow, weights are definitely helpful. The Rotary Plow is excellent for primary tillage. No need to pre-work the ground.

Hi, can you tell me what size of wheels do you have on this model ? I bought recently a 740 but I have problems with the wheel size, they are too small with my gardens being not very flat here in the french moutains. Thanks

The BCS 750 features a Honda GX390, which is 13 hp. Model 725 has been out of production for over twenty years and was sold with several different engine options over the years. Engines and other specs for all of our current tractors are listed on our website: www.bcsamerica.com

Hi Charles, BCS is an Italian company and closely related to Ferrari! They are wonderful machines using engines common to the destination such as the Kohler for USA markets. They do many things very well, except marketing, lol. The best machine you've never heard of. Mine is a mid 1980's model and came from the abuse of being a rental, to a pro-landscaper, to my full acre garden and a side-gig of mowing/tilling/snow removal for others. Over 30 years old, I can still get the rare part I need for the Kohler engine. I rebuilt my tiller attachment 2 years ago and found the every single bearing in it was available at my local NAPA auto-parts store with a little research. Just today I ordered a new recoil starter, the most costly repair on the engine I've ever had, around $120 and also available at NAPA auto. Again, mine is over 30 years old. They are very rare around here (although a neighbor has one similar to mine). My "Local" dealer is 90 miles away, and does little if any advertising (I suspect that break-downs are so rare that the shop makes little money secondary to selling them). All I can say is if mine broke today, I would buy a new or new-used one within the week, and I'm far from a rich man, they are very expensive up-front (Mine has been a dependable money-maker for me and has cost me little to run). The machines sell themselves, and BCS seems happy with this.
