@@keithpace9870 It's because for the past 20 years, all anyone can talk about is guns, abortion and the LGBTQIA+ community. There are other issues that effect almost everyone including rising gas prices, rising food prices, high interest rates, the increasing cost of housing, lack of affordable housing, homelessness, education, affordability of electric cars, America's aging infrastructure, and lack of high-speed rail. None of us have to be enemies, but everyone wants to be right SO badly and their are elements of the government that stoke so much fear that people gravitate to the politician that appeals to the lowest common denominator.

I think the reason for the gun sound being different then you expect was cause the shooter was not that close, he was up on a roof so the distance would soften the sound. Much like if you were at a firework show, it would be LOUD, but if you were blocks away you would still hear it but the pops would be softer.
