There is a loot of people who wanna see a circus act and not willing to pay even 10 EUR for a fight card.
@innerdaniels517527 күн бұрын
Of course you are right. its plain simple. The PPV price most be not more then 10% of the what an average ticket price that the fight would do per country.for Example. This would be about 15 to 20 euros for the Netherlands, 30 pounds in England and 35 dollars in the US. Would make it affordable and grow the sport back to number 1 status worldwide.

Listened to it , jumped between here and Carl Froch . Saw the full fight on KZbin within the hour . We used to get all title fights and other sports in the UK as part of the package of the TV licence before the internet . Had Sky in the '80s boxing was free , then they started PPV when they had the financial clout to buy the rights to the fights and sports , I stopped watching live back then when Mike Tyson was in his prime :( , on principal . Sadly , there are enough mugs prepared to be fleeced , so the PPV will continue , and the max price they can squeeze out of the punters.

Simple fact is whether it was £10 or £50, people are going to try and watch jt for as cheap as possible and illegal streams are the bane of the industry. Added to the fact in the uk we have to pay for pretty much everything. Then fight fans will always look for a cheaper or free alternative, especially when most of the time, fights are not good and not even worthy of being pay per view. The point of pay per view is that is should be a special event, in which customers feel a need to be part of. However, we now have virtually all the fights by the top fighters at pay per view and this is the problem. The big question is what happens with boxing when the Saudi love affair is finished and fighters eventually have to go back to the old model.

2 bars in the village share the businesses 50/50 so one bar owner decides to lower the price of his beer and starts to get 75% of customers now the other bar sees what is happening and because he is losing business he decides to increase the price so that the 25% he still has compensates for the loss instead of trying to be business smart and create the same conditions that both bars shared prior, personally i wouldn't have paid more than £10

If the fight is worth the money, the people will pay. I havent been impressed with most of these fights. I have payed and will pay if i feel a fight deserves the hype and me paying to see it. I normaly go to Mexico or a casino, or a restaurant or some type of venue or friends house. Most bouts dont carry that must watch tv for me anyway. Unless its truly exceptional. Theres only a few fighters that truly perform win, lose or draw. I rather go watch it live if its one in a generation talent or go watch it at a friends house or some other venue. Dont care to much to look for a streaming service thats pirated when i can go somewhere and watch. Might have to pay a little or bring food and snacks but i dont mind that.

That figure of One hundred and twenty million Is complete nonsense. It assumes the people who streamed the event illegally would ever have paid for the event in the first place. I would suspect that for the vast majority paying $75 for what amounts to a luxury item when you are struggling just pay all your bills was never an option. There is for sure a tipping point when increasing prices does not increase revenue because you simply price yourself out of the market. They are not selling food or power or gasoline, they are selling a discretionary purchase and those are always the first things to go when times get hard.
