I’m going to Europe in August 2025 and just got my ETA approved. It’s very easy and simple to apply using the app, make sure to place the camera very close to the chip of your passport when asked to, I received the approval email in less than 5 minutes after payment….

Congratulations. But most Chinese and taiwanese passports don't have a Chip on the passport. Chinese people don't have a chip of passport.

Hello, this is a very helpful video. I see that you mention travel dates are needed as part of the application process. Me and my wife ( US citizens) applied for ours yesterday and we're immediately approved. Trying to do it on the app didnt work well. There's also the option to do it on the website which skips the step of scanning the chip. Our card was charged $13.08 American dollars each. Essy peasy

Hi!! Excuse me, I also had problems with the app yesterday, when I was scanning my passport like 2 o 3 times, then when I finally wanted to pay, the app got stuck. On the website are the same steps? I think I got a message that said you're locked out for the app 24 hours. I don't know but I would like to try next time on the website and my flight is in January and I'm worried about it

@Jackeline_mabel I would suggest using the browser version but on your phone. It worked perfectly for us that way and payment didn't get stuck like it did for us on the app. And it's also one less step they don't require you to do the chip part on the passport.

Hi,my parents are coming to visit me in London in February cause I will deliver my baby beginning of March. I booked already a flight for them the 15th of February 2025.I was wondering if I should apply earlier for the ETA but mostly if there's a way to apply for them. They are in their 70s and don't speak English at all. Any help would be appreciated!Thanks

The website sucks. I enter UK on December 10th and will be staying after January 8th, but the website won't let me enter a date that's before January 8th. So I can't actually apply for one until after January 8th...but I will already be there...sigh.

You should get the normal stamp with 60 or 90 days, which also applies to the part of your stay which goes into the ETA mandatory period.

Hello! If you enter the UK before Jan 8th, you won't need the ETA. Even if you're staying there after Jan 8th.

I had problems! It did not accept NY credit card... A little hard tô get the eta, the app does not help and blocked me many times...😢😢😢😢😢 I will try it again...

We are traveling to UK to take a cruise, we'll stay a couple days before and after so I understand we will all need to apply. However, we will be visiting other countries, Brussels, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hamburg and Paris. Will we need a separate ETAS for each country? We will spend less than a day at each as they are stops along our cruise . Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks

@@CorinneL-jw3ns You absolutely need a UK ETA and maybe you will also need a Schengen ETA. Ask your travel agent.

Hello! Yes, you'll need both an ETA for the UK, and depending on when you're from, a Schengen visa for European countries. (If you're from the US and other countries, you don't need a visa for entering European countries).
