If so, she should contact the CTA International Relations Department in Dharamsala. You don’t need to do anything more-just direct her to visit the CTA there. Third, stop accusing people of not knowing enough steps-dancing with a straight back and hands held up is common in Amdo and Kham styles, so keep that in mind. Gorshey is open to everyone, not just experts or those in chupa. This traditional Tibetan dance brings people together, fostering unity and joy. I’ve seen how happy it makes Tibetan women to join in, and it benefits both mind and body. Unlike staying home or gossiping, Gorshey promotes physical well-being and a strong sense of community. A few years ago, elders often said younger Tibetans weren’t interested in our traditional songs and dances, preferring Bollywood or English music. But now, it’s inspiring to see the younger generation embracing Tibetan music and dance with enthusiasm, celebrating our culture, building a sense of togetherness, and strengthening our community. Lastly, I don’t want to complain about Tibetans overseas working in Chinese restaurants, but if you can, try to avoid it. I understand the financial needs, but if there are better options available, it’s best to choose those instead of working for Chinese owners. Lastly, to understand Tibetan history better, I recommend reading books like Tibetan Political History, Status of Tibet, Noodle Makers, and My Land and My People.
