You have a long way to go as far as I can tell when it comes to safety. Humans have so many movements and possible sudden changes to movement a robot is going to have to be able to see that person continuously while still doing that job. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Interesting points all around. Autonomous robots can be far more impressive than just dancing, but safety and job impact remain major concerns. Full autonomy by 2027 sounds ambitious, but possible.

What about speed? If I worked that slowly, I'd be fired before I started.

"No robot today is safe enough to work directly next to humans" .... cuts to clip at 2:16 where a human is right next to driverless cargo carrying vehicles (aka robots)

damn this is the most boring video about really interesting robotics

It actually is.more impressive than making it dance or jump as the bots are autonomous.

you can open a tab of family guy clips to play on the side if you need the stimulation :)

ALL robots need to be programmed with a safe word, where, when the bot hears it, the bot will power down. !

It seems that these clumsy and slow robots need to be replaced with something more technologically advanced...

You guys better hurry up or you'll get left in the dust. Dont give me that bullshit about the only commercially deployed robot. Thats a bunch of lies.

Still trying to assess how many jobs this could replace, just by moving totes.

I would never buy a robot with those legs. Ever.

These robots are for warehouses, not the home.

@mister_r447 What difference does that make? Still wouldn't buy one.

Those legs are a crush injury just waiting to happen imagine if your hand got stuck in there

we need some form of general intelligence, a single end-to-end neural net, that enables FULL autonomy. doesn't have to be human-level, insect-like to mammal-like is enough for many tasks. looking forward to it, should be achievable by 2027.
@AetherXIV11 күн бұрын
by full autonomy do you mean "free will" (it can decide it's own goals) or it can accomplish any task a human can without a special environment?
@autingo658311 күн бұрын
@@AetherXIV the latter. the former may be emergent. so i also acknowledge the need for machine welfare research, and google deepmind as well as anthropic are in fact already establishing teams.
