This 2024 draft we had is STACKED. 2 first round picks we have future All-Pros (Bowers/JPJ). DJ Glaze and Tommy freaking Eichenburg are already developing to be future starters. Even our terrible 2023 draft has Tre Tucker and Jakorian Bennett emerging as huge standouts (wouldn’t say All-Pro just yet). It’s annoying that we’ve sucked for so long but our defense is 80% there depth wise and our offense is in desperate need of OLine and a QB. The QB position keeps me up at night for sure though.

It kind of reminds me of when Baker Mayfield was with Cleveland, he had better games when OBJ was out because he didn't have to feed him the ball. It gets tough for a QB when you try to spread the ball out with a receiver like that because if you lose, then you have a WR saying you lost because he's not feeding him the ball. So then the QB starts forcing the ball to a covered or even double covered receiver resulting in turnovers and 3 and outs and end up losing anyways. Sometimes it's better to not have that feed me mentality in the locker room.

Get a QB. Hc is a difficult job to get and also the time ticks faster as hc. AP is our hc but even if he is let go, no candidate that has a solid resume like ben johnson that will come to a team that has no quick resolution to the qb situation, especially if the team isnt in the top 5 at least. I love tae and im sure he wouldve liked to have turned around his childhood team but josh McDaniel really messed up the future of the team because he hit the panic button so early in his hc job. We are not a bad team. This past game showed what our foundation looks like. The players not including the main captains. That said, we are definitely heading towards the right direction but no matter what, only a franchise qb can drive stick. Until we get a franchise qb, we are not going to drive smoothly.
