It sickens me that I, as a law-abiding American citizen, cannot trust the Supreme Court to defend and uphold the most basic laws that WE ALL KNOW TO BE TRUE. They have now told us that we are not equal, and that there are people who are above the law, because they say so. And that the rights that we are guaranteed, and have had for OUR ENTIRE LIVES, can be taken away because of THEIR religious beliefs- and because they say so. That is not the Supreme Court that I grew up admiring, and trusting to be the arbiters of arguments that are beyond our ability to solve, and who do their utmost to ensure that the law is the true ruler of our land, and fairness, and the idea that we all work together here. All they’ve done is give more power to rich fools, allow them to get away with any crime they commit, take away our rights and our sense of security, and drive us apart from our neighbors. Oh yeah, they also get more corrupt and paid off by billionaires so that they rule in their favor for cash, vacations, homes, and whatever else someone who already has everything wants. Feh. The Freeman/Moss case wasn't brought by Mueller or Garland. It's a civil case brought by a private DC firm. The delay there was due to Giuliani's stalling via motions, which many defendants do, and his failed bankruptcy. The original complaint was brought in 12/2021, a typical time delay for a civil case. Even Brian blurs the cases here a bit, for the average listener.

I have always said that the correct punishment for Donald Trump is to take away what he values most: his lifestyle but not putting him under protection and in custody in jail. What is the point? He isn't actually going to shoot anyone on Fifth Avenue, and in jail, he won't be taught the lessons he needs to learn before he dies. But take away all his assets. Then determine the average income of a working American. It must be about $70,000 a year now. Write him a check from the Treasury every year and index it for inflation. This would be not in addition to, but in lieu of Social Security payments. No other income allowed, not gifts from his family or "friends", nothing. If he'd like to work, be our guest, but he gets no money or any other valuables for it. Make him live like an average guy with no privileges. Oh, and take away the Secret Service protection. The average American has to rely on the police to stay safe. He should have to too. Same with Giuliani. I realize that this goes against the rules of American law. But Rudy and Donald are also breaking all the rules and getting away with it. If I were King Solomon, that would be my solution to the Trump crowd and all future Trump-like, corrupt leaders.

Pardons can not be granted to someone until they are found guilty. You are describing the process of being granted a new trial based on wrongful conviction.

In Canada we have the same issues, look at the Ottawa freedom truck rally. well, he tried this the last time he was supposed appear in court. He told the judge he didn't have time because he had another appointment that day. Besides flying and Amtrak, there is also a bus - either Greyhound or Megabus. I like flying because it's just faster and easier.
