A lot of his business failures stem from him lying, over-promising and then reneging on contracts. Contracts such as with suppliers, builders, and so on. His business model is to fail, declare bankruptcy and ruin others and then to either restart the same business under a different name but with debt wiped out and suppliers ruined or to just buy the assets using loans based on his over-inflated property valuations. It's one house of cards that makes the sub-prime market look normal.

Canada tariffs will affect the prescription drug grey market. If Trump bans imports that will be a major blow to the US economy. I wonder if we will go back to mid range inflation in the 30-60% range due to tariffs. Oil companies will increase production and sell it to other countries. That's what they did to oil refineries in Hawaii. They shut the refinery down as unprofitable, I'll bet that will be happening in the continental US and the gasoline prices will grow higher. if anything, we might see a $.05 decrease in the cost of gasoline. Once the prices go up they're not going down. Trump will need to implement across the board price controls to bring them down low enough to make a difference. Congress or the courts will need to pass enabling laws that exclude the feds from certain laws concerning private information.
