BREAKING: Russian Il-76 Destroyed Near Belgorod - The Truth

Russia accused Ukraine on Wednesday of deliberately shooting down a Russian military transport plane carrying 65 captured Ukrainian soldiers to a prisoner exchange in what it called a barbaric act of terrorism that had killed a total of 74 people.v The Russian defense ministry said six Russian crew members and three Russian soldiers had been on the Ilyushin Il-76 military transport plane shot down near the Russian city of Belgorod near the Ukrainian border. None of this can be verified.

If anyone has seen the footage from the crash site, it’s pretty obvious that that plane was blown to smithereens by detonation of ammunition, not the fuel onboard. There is literally nothing left, it is just lumps of metal scattered over a very large area. I believe Ukrainian intelligence that the aircraft was carrying munitions is absolutely correct.

Geolocation of the IL-76 that crashed in Belgorod shows the IL-76 RA-78830 was flying away from Belgorod, dismissing Russian claims that Ukrainian PoWs were on board. The IL-76 had previously flew from Iran to Belgorod.

Ukraine doesn't take pot shots at random targets. They certainly wouldn't waste a defensive Patriot missile, on a random target. If Ukraine shot it down, then there was a damn good reason to hit it. Coming from Iran, we already know what it was loaded with. Ukraine would be tracking ruZZian transport jets. Especially ones coming from Iran, or N. Korea. But, considering Ukraine needs those missiles to protect their own people from incoming missiles, I doubt Ukraine did it!

If you look at the list of prisoners it states 'List of "65" Ukranian prisoners who were on board the IL-76." Past tense, indicating it was a list after the fact and not the official manifest.

I know this is still an ongoing story and we don't know all the facts yet but there is video footage of the crash site and so far--to no real surprise, there's a lack of evidence of human remains except for one or two that we know of. If this plane had over 65 people on board, we'd see a lot more evidence. That said, Ukrainian officials have indicated there was supposed to be a prisoner exchange today but that's off the table. Now I'm concerned about the safety of the prisoners or what happened to them. From all indications, they were not on that plane since this one is used often to transport S-300 rockets and other types of munitions. What especially is galling is how quick international media was to pick up the russian narrative and report it as the facts without further checking. They frankly haven't learned their lesson that russia always lies and that inevitably there's always more to the story.

I saw people commenting, they're now very afraid for the POW'S lives, who haven't already been exchanged and initially I kinda shared their thoughts. OTOH and that's what I'm leaning to a lot more now, I suspect russia might be covering up the deaths of POW, who've already died in their captivity and the rest is just the typical russian attempt of spreading confusion, hence there're also names of exchanged POW on their list. But at the crash site there're NO remains of 70+ people, so as always I don't believe, what russia's claiming ... they were also a bit too fast to blame Ukraine, not only of murdering their own POW, but they also shared all the details within a few hours, that usually require longer (meaning days, weeks or even months of) investigations under normal circumstances.

Ukraine may have shot down the plane if russia did not notify Ukraine that it had Ukrainian prisoners on board. With it being so close to the border of Ukraine air defense might have shot it down and if this is the case it would be another War Crime by russia. This is just a possibility a very tragic one.

Maybe the list is all made up and there wasn't even prisoners on the plane it was military equipment and they didn't want to say you shut down military equipment instead they're saying you shut down your own prisoners.
